Hotel staff is trying their best, but the building is very dated with a lot of deferred maintenance. Door locks are broken, doors themselves are broken, bathrooms are stained with iron from water, etc, etc. With all that, the rooms, the lobby, the outdoors where very clean. There was not an item out of place, cucumber water jug was always filled, there were always fresh towels for the pool, there were never dirty pool towels anywhere.
Like someone mentioned, air freshener is applied very liberally, and it is hard to breathe. I opened the balcony doors, but there is so much noise and smell from cars and boats that I decided to just keep smelling febreeze.
Hotel staff was great. Friendly, always working on something. At least ownership is keeping a lot of people employed. That's probably more important than outdated carpet. But they should also spend some money for upkeep to at least ensure doors close properly.

Staff are very friendly, professional & helpful. My husband and I have been traveling all over the keys for the past month and we have to say that this hotel is the best one we have stayed at due to their cleanliness & maintenance of their facility. Having a clean room, clean sheets & friendly staff is so undervalued and we are so grateful to have experienced a stay with courtyard. Thanks everyone!

Liked this property a lot! Very nice, helpful staff. Seems like a newer hotel, with larger elevators - which was nice. The bistro breakfast was great. Perfect for a night passing through Key Largo.

I'm not sure why you say you are pet friendly when you discriminate against an 'over weight dog'?!
You say you'll take 2 - 30lb dogs but not 1 - 50lb dog. Well that's not pet friendly at all. One dog is better behaved then 2!! What is the theory on this, it makes no sense at all. I've had a small dog, sorry but they are more problems then a medium size dog!
I will never stay at another Courtyars (Marriot) again, and I travel all across north America each year - and I will be sure to let everyone know about the ridiculous pet friendly rule ypu actually have.
Disappointed.

Not a great experience here. Our room was so fragrant, I thought the house cleaner must have spilled a bottle of cleaning solution on the carpet. It turned out to be just the massive amounts of Febreeze they spray in each room (to cover up what terrible odors?). We tried for hours to air out our room (we also tried switching rooms, but they all smelled the same), but I still ended up with hives from the fragrance that settled on all the surfaces!

Overall, the building seemed a bit old, but the stay was satisfactory. However, the towel quality was not good. The threads were so loose that they stuck to my body when I was wiping.

What’s the point being a Marriott Platinum member if they give you a room with the parking lot view when they have plenty of bay view rooms? What a sad joke

I stayed here recently while dealing with a family emergency and was already exhausted, running on very little sleep. Unfortunately, my experience was ruined by an unprofessional wake-up call from the cleaning staff. Despite having the “Do Not Disturb” sign clearly displayed on the door, we were abruptly woken at 8 AM by persistent knocking. The cleaner wanted to know if we were still in the room or if she could start cleaning.
This was not only disruptive but completely unacceptable. Once awake, we couldn’t fall back asleep, which ruined our chance to get much-needed rest. For a hotel, ensuring guests can sleep peacefully should be a top priority. This incident demonstrated a complete disregard for guest privacy and comfort.
Staff should respect the “Do Not Disturb” sign and verify checkouts through their system instead of disturbing guests early in the morning. While the property may have its merits, this experience overshadowed everything else. A little more respect and consideration from the staff would have made a huge difference.

This hotel is beautiful and it was hard to leave our room with the open balcony and the morning breeze!

Far from full..they stuck us in the front next to the busy highway and then charged us $4.50 for a coffee the next morning......not a happy person.

Good hotel to be close to the Chase stadium, but the rate and the additional parking fee of $15 was pricy. Room was ok, bar was nice, staff was friendly.
Nearby activities: Chase stadium

We came here to get away from Hurricane Milton. All the staff were fantastic but I want to make special mention of Marcus in the restaurant. Marcus is the most upbeat, energetic, delightful person I have ever met in any hotel. And I have stayed almost 100 nights in Marriott hotels this year.
Marcus is the kind of person everyone would want to meet during their stay and he is a tremendous credit to this hotel.

They kept my deposit and now won't return my calls. We didn't leave the room messy or anything that would warrant keeping it. I called and spoke to 3 different people including the owner. They all said they'd process my refund and they did not. Instead they've kept it.
