A slice of paradise in old town Key West. Close to everything but quiet and tranquil with beautiful tropical gardens, 2 pools, tiki bar, majestic banyan trees, palm trees. My perfect escape each year.

Perfect Location! Private pool area surrounded by beautiful nature Banyan trees and natural vegetation. Pool has outside bar that is open daily. There is parking available in their private lot. Within walking distance of everything. Rooms are super clean with air conditioning and kitchen set ups. Ours had a view of the pool with huge windows and plantation shutters. Absolutely relaxing and quiet. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again. Staff is super friendly as well.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The entire hotel is nestled in amongst century old Banyan trees. The location is right off Duval Street and yet this sleepy resort feels like a quiet hideaway in a beachy jungle. My favorite is the hidden, steaming hot tub to enjoy after walking around all day.

Loved staying here. Close enough to Duval but not so close as to hear it. Quaint rooms, great amenities.

This place is amazing. With real Banyan trees throughout. Conveniently located. The staff is super friendly, including Salty Julie at the pool bar. There's a family pool and an adult pool. The rooms are each unique. The breakfast and lunch menus are moderately priced. There's limited parking available. I'm looking forward to seeing there again.

Staying at the Banyan was a great experience again as it has been over the years for me. It's my go to place whenever I'm in Key West and it has has a secluded feel with beautiful hanging banyan trees thru out even though it's located in the center of old town. The people here from the front office to the service people are top notch. Love hanging out!Rooms: The rooms are very nice although some rooms need to be updated somewhat. Breakfast, lunch and a Bar is offered poolside daily until 4pm.Nearby activities: The Banyan is located 1 block south of Duval and about 3 blocks from Mallory Pier so everything is right at your fingertips or easily accessible by walking, biking or transit.

Beautiful 1800’s era resort wonderfully situated in Old Town Key West. You can walk or bike anywhere or rent a golf cart or scooter. Well appointed rooms and absolutely stunning grounds. The resident cat, Abby, is great also.

I love this place. It's the best-hidden stay. And the trees and the gardens are beautiful. I love how close it is to the main streets and it is a short walk. The rooms are very nice as well and they are very accommodating. I love the little kitchen and my bathroom was very nice. The bed was very comfy as well and I loved sitting out on the porch in the morning. In the years of staying here in June the parade was just right outside my front door.

One of the front desk staff was unpleasant, bordering on hostile. Michael, is a perfect professional though. Grounds crew are making improvements w/ smiles. Bar staff provide well from that tiny TIKI hot box kitchen, w/ laughs. Cleaning staff does their best w/o much help, especially w/ the language barriers. But the administration, including the Board needs to be adjusted to serve the needs of the sweating staff and paying guests. Please don't send owner money and commit owner money to an outside contractor for a key card system. It will only lead to marred up historical doors, a technological nightmare to maintain, an opportunity to be shaken down for new technology and additional expenses whenever the contractor tells us it is imperative, in the future. At least until this administration can get Wi-Fi to not stop working several times a day, please do not increase our dependence on technology. Not to mention the potential for a hacker to breach our security system and gain access to the property and/or individual units. Increase lighting at after hours gates if anything. The literal key system has worked for decades since the beginning of the resort and could be maintained with more accountability and responsibility on the part of guests, owners, and board members. In addition if one of these key pads stops working after hours this isn't a typical hotel where staff can gain access and just move them to another room until repaired. The after hours expenses and confusion will likely only increase versus being able to tell the guest who lost their key / locked themselves out, the expense is on them. Intoxicated residents should never be a reason to spend others' money. The last thing I want to do while enjoying the island's libations is have to pull my wallet out, in the dark, on the public side of the security gate.
