Don't rent anything from this place. We wanted to rent a 6 place gas golf cart and when they walked us over it was an electric car. We said we wanted a 6 place gas golf cart so they found one that wasn't very nice. We ask how much that would be and they said it was the same price. Since they hadn't given us any paperwork or a rental agreement we ask how much the other one was and they didn't seem to know. It ended up being way more than they said so we asked for a refund. We ask for the manager of a pointed to a woman that they said was he owner. She told us to wait and after blowing us off for 45 minutes they said everything was taken care of which it wasn't. We never so much as touched a golf cart but of course there's a $248 charge on our credit card still.
We walked down the street and found a place that was very professional. They pulled out a card and showed you exactly how much everything they rented cost whether for 4 hours or by the day. They gave us a really nice Yamaha ,6 place gas golf cart instead of some Chinese piece of junk. They had a profession rental agreement that they went through and you signed in everything was transparent. There are places to rent all over the island but everybody thinks they have to go to this place because it's right off the boat and the guys on the boat tell you you'll get a discount which you don't. They might get a commission but that's about it. The people that work there were rude and unprofessional and when we ask them their name they wouldn't tell us. They lied about everything.

Rented a 6 passenger gas powered EZGo at the recommendation of Key West Express. Cart was terrible. It had a long delay when pushing the gas pedal causing problems at stoplights and stop signs. Cart finally died on Duvall Street on 2nd day. They did bring a replacement. Paid $299 for 24 hours plus $90 for additional 4 hours. Very overpriced for terrible equipment.

Avoid this place. We were off to a good start and everything seemed ok. Our car literally stopped 2 times in traffic and had to be pushed to the side of the road. Since this happened on the way back we were not to upset but wanted the woman who worked the desk to know that we literally had to push the car. She asked why we didn't call so they could provide another and I explained we were heading back at that point. I waited at counter expecting, at the very least, and apology. She seemed unfazed and said we could leave... we did and will never be back. Wish I had read these reviews first. Fyi there are other places a short walk away to rent. Shame on Key West Express for encouraging patrons to use them.

We had a fantastic time exploring the city with the electric cart rental. The carts were a convenient and fun way to navigate through the streets and discover hidden gems. The competitive pricing and the quality of the carts made it a memorable experience for our group.

We tried an electric cart rental for a day, and it was the highlight of our trip! The customer service was excellent, and the rental process went smoothly. The cart itself was spotless and in excellent condition. We were able to explore so much in one day because it made travelling around town so easy.

Total ripoff!!! I sincerely hope people read this review. We rented an electric car for no more than 2 hour tops. We traveled a total of 4 miles max from the terminal to the hotel. My husband at 6’4” with a bad knee couldn’t drive the car. We returned it after we checked into the hotel. This place charged us $169 (minimum of 4 hours). No consideration was given to my husband’s medical issue. These people are robbing their customers blind!!!

I recently rented a golf cart for a weekend getaway at the golf course and it was a great experience. The cart was clean and well-maintained, and it made getting around the resort a breeze. We only found out after we rented the cart that we could not park it overnight where we were staying because we could only have one parking space, which we used for our rental car. We could not get a refund. We rented the cart on Tuesday and we were going to return it on Thursday. We only used it for a couple of hours and we are out $300.

This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with the owner of this company. I rented a car for 4 days and it broke down on the way to my hotel, they brought a replacement an hour later. The replacement would not run either so we returned it the next morning and the owner would not refund 3 of the four days even though we had the car less than 24 hours. He told me that he did not care if we gave him a bad review and stated that it would not hurt his business, people like him hurt honest business owners, I recommend staying away from this company!!

We were given a car that barely had a charge. After about 30 minutes of normal speed, it dropped down to 15 mph and locals were honking and yelling at us. For the last hour we were going 2-5 mph and my daughter had to get out to push us in order to get back in time to make it back on to key west express jet boat. So our 5-6 hours on the island was totally wasted. They offered no discount or refund for our troubles bc we didn't call earlier in the day to "complain" we thought we were being kind not complaining and just going with the flow so our day was decent. But apparently that's what they expect. The woman at the counter was RUDE. The man taking the car from us was RUDE. On top of all this I was issued an extra $45 fee due to a ticket I never even saw, nor did they show us when we returned the car. I have no proof at all of the ticket. Let me add... it was my daughter birthday... so to push an electric car to get back on time, and then having a sore back next day was the gift they gave to her. I would NOT recommend! There are plenty of other places to get golf carts on the island. Key west express give you a flyer promoting the business, just don't do it. There is no special pricing as you are told, and the place is tan by a bunch of jerks that just want your money and don't care at all that you enjoyed your time properly on the island.

The location is excellent, if traveling to Key West vis the Key West Express but go elsewhere for your golf cart rental. The personnel where unfriendly, the golf cart was in poor condition, and the rental period is 24 hours which is inconvenient since the Express leaves 30 hours hours after arriving.

Cart sounds like it's going to explode. Kept stalling out. Was filthy a chicken laid an egg in the back of it must have been sitting for a long time. They did come and pick it up at our hotel that's how bad it was beat up and disgusting

AWFUL! would not recommend-if possible would give zero review. Customer service was horrible. We had a 6 seater that was old and had an exhaust leak. It was the worst part of our first Key West experience. If you are staying a distance away from Duval Street you will get one of their old gas carts -be aware.
