The airport can only accommodate six planes at a time, which helps keep crowds manageable. However, the ongoing construction has caused some delays, including shop hours and limited food options, and the waiting area remains small. WiFi service is limited, with slow speeds and no service from mobile providers at times. The airport's overall experience is positive, with friendly staff and a manageable size, and travelers look forward to the completion of the renovations to improve the facilities further.
Hard to get lost with just 2 gates...July 2026...we now have 8 gates with jet ways...no more walking out to the plane on the tarmac. 5 minutes or less for TSA screening.

Great airport. Newly remodeled the only reason I gave four stars rather than five is due to its lackluster baggage claim be forewarned there is only one baggage claim carousel for the entire airport.

It is very nice since the renovations. This was our second time flying from AVL to EYW and back. Both airports are under heavy renovations and eyw certainly is a major upgrade. No walking outside or having to go down the stairs anymore. The restaurants and Starbucks all look new and very nice.
