Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park is a beautiful and peaceful outdoor destination with a lot to offer. Visitors enjoy wandering the many miles of trails that wind through the park’s landscape, which is filled with wildlife and a variety of plant species. The park provides a low-key atmosphere, making it a great place to relax and connect with nature. The camping areas feature spacious sites, some with water and electricity, and close to clean restrooms. Campsites are well-maintained, with fire rings, picnic tables, and enough space for multiple tents and vehicles. Many sites are conveniently located near restrooms, and some have scenic views of the lake. Visitors often hike around the lakes, experiencing the pretty scenery and hopping across wood stumps over rocky streams, especially when water levels are low. The park also offers cabins for those who prefer not to camp. Wildlife sightings are common and include deer, birds, and even the rare gopher tortoise. The park is quiet, with few visitors at times, providing a peaceful environment for nature lovers. Facilities are generally clean and functional, with hot showers available. Overall, Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park is a great spot for camping, hiking, and enjoying the natural beauty of the area, making it a place visitors look forward to returning to.

What a beautiful park!!!! We will definitely be returning when we can spend more time. It's so pretty and very low-key. Hardly anyone in the park. We saw deer, birds, and very few people ?

Great time at our Couples Campout! Spent 3 nights here. Nice walking trails. Clean bathhouse and good customer service. Spot number 34 is the best for large groups! But they also have a group camping area. We didn't know that before booking. But had a great time!
