We booked Magic Tree Resort with our Vacation Village timeshare points ..which, apparently, are like raffle tickets; you never know what you’re going to get, but you hope it’s not this.
The “resort” (and I use that term as loosely as their commitment to customer service, which vanished right around check-in) has the charm of a 1970s roadside motel that woke up one day and decided it wanted to be an Airbnb. No housekeeping. No trash pickup. Need towels? Take a scenic walk to the lobby, but be sure to arrive before 10 a.m., or you’ll be told towels are now a thing of the past.
When our trash cans filled up, we were told to take the bags to a dumpster located “somewhere” around the buildings. After circling the place three times like confused detectives, we gave up. No assistance was offered so we just made sure to let them know our intention was simply to throw the bags out so they wouldn’t think we were leaving them behind and try to charge us for it.
Step inside and you’ll find all the ambiance of a high school nurse’s office: faintly clean, slightly sad, and pretending everything’s fine.
It is what it is. Far from a Holiday Inn, and closer to a “Holididn’t. A place where the only activity is taking out your own trash.
Two stars - one for location, which was admittedly solid; and the other because it was there, and so were we.

Wonderful resort. Friendly, attentive staff and beautiful rooms. Ms. Vanessa is an exemplary young lady. She is equal parts sincere, compassionate, knowledgeable and kindhearted. I’m grateful for Ms. Savannah as well. My impression was that she loves what she does, and she represents the resort very very well with her professionalism and insights.
Oh and also, the heated pool is AWESOME 😭❤️ I’ve been spoiled forever 😆.

I came here on an exchange. I will say the kitchen was beautiful and I love cooking when I’m on vacation. It had the most updated equipment and it was a pleasure to be in it. Unfortunately the tap water in Orlando is terrible and I couldn’t make coffee or tea with it nor could I cook with it even though I’m positive it was mildly filtered. Conveniently, there’s a Walmart literally next-door within walking . The carpeting in my room didn’t smell good, but I did have a maintenance issue that was resolved very quickly. The pool was delightful. The staff were wonderful. I gave it two stars for location because I did not want to be anywhere near theme parks, but it was the best I could do on an exchange. Took over an hour to get to Winter Park and that was just completely unpleasant. My room said it was for four people, but I could imagine it would be very cramped with more than two.

It's beauty is in the little things. Full kitchen, pool, and shopping or amusement within easy drive.

This resort was great! Rooms were very pleasant, kitchen, living room and bathrooms were very nice. Pool area was beautiful. Staff was great. I locked myself out overnight and the manager came from her home and let me in and was very pleasant about it, even though I know it was inconvenient. Great place to stay.

Excellent location with only a 15 minute drive to the Disney Parks. Right next door to Walmart to grab groceries and drinks. Clean rooms and a nice pool to cool off. Highly recommend this location for families, couples or friends alike as it really does feel like a home away from home.

Stayed here for years but not too happy about Walmart right next door. Will still continue to stay. This place is like my home away from home. It's small and cozy feeling with everything close by. They have maintained this property very well over the years.

It is a very nice, laid-back atmosphere. I loved the movie theater. The staff was super friendly every one of them. Nice heated pool, lots of activities and accommodations. Highly recommend Magic Tree Resort. I hope to return again soon.

Wish I would've taken pictures of the resort. It was roomy and immaculate. Every staff member had A+, Disney-like customer service. Location is like 20 minutes from Clermont, the Heart of Kissimmee, Davenport and Orlando (depending on where you're going.) It was wonderful and relaxing.
Resort fee covers pool and hot tub, game room, outside checkers, connect 4 like game, ping pong, and shuffle board.
My only complaint is I wish the pool opened at 7. We left a day early (in the afternoon) because checkout it 10 and the pool doesn't open til 9.

We spent a week here and I was sad when we had to check out yesterday morning. This is a very quiet and pleasant location. The pool is both clean and warm and the hot tub was never too hot nor crowded. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even went around letting people know when a rocket launch was happening and where we could best see it. The Walmart is next door and a Starbucks is a quick walk away. Close to multiple places to eat, shop and mini golf. Not far from the west gate of Disney World. Definitely will stay here again.
