Wind in to buy one small item. Went to pay for it at the self-checkout but was told no cash transactions! I was told to go to the other register, which there was only one open at the time and had eight people already in line. I put the item down and as I was walking out the attendant from the self-service line says " can I help you? I said absolutely not and walked out

I'm from Maine so this is a foreign grocery store to me. Seems to have most of the basics at a consistent price with other big stores. There are more ethnic food options and more cuts of meat available here than I'm used to at stores in Maine. In the end it must be a big old corporation though.

You'd expect it the least from Publix, but as an employee, if you see that there's more of a product in the back but don't want to get it, just lie and say you don't have it ffs. It takes 7+ minutes to find a bright green baking product in the back? Maybe. Maybe not. Guess we'll never know.
How many products fit that description?If you want to take your lunch break just go take it.

Now 2024 update : I give this Publix supermarket 5 star 4 years ago because every time I shopped there about 2 times a week, it cleaned and all the workers was very nice. Well it sad to say, that not the case anymore. On 11- 08-2024 I was shopping at this store as usual almost every week. But on this day, I proceed it to checkout counter and I notice how nice the cashier and bagger was talking to the customer in front of me. But when it was my turn the cashier and bagger attitude completely changed, they refused to speak to me, not one word . I say Good morning to them and they said nothing and begin to carry a conversation among themselves about what they going to eat for lunch it was 11:57 am. I ask, how much do I owe for my groceries, instead of telling me the price the cashier point to the payment machine. I paid and say to them, have a good day and no reply from both of them. The customer behind me came up and the same cashier and bagger began to interact with him, talking and laughing with him. I told the manager, I send out emailed to the district manager and complain to Publix supermarket corporation. I was told It was only poor customer service and not discrimination. They offer me $100 gift card for experiencing poor customer service. I refuse the gift card, because I was terribly hurt and downhearted the cashier and bagger made me feel less than a human being. I only want to know why I was treated so different. But the company didn't give me a answer they just say poor customer service. Publix supermarket always say, Shop at Publix where shopping is a pleasure. Well On that day the other two Caucasian customer, shopping experiments was a pleasure. And mine an 61 years old African-American shopping experience was disrespectful, unfairly mistreated by the cashier and bagger for not even speaking to me. My money is green Just like the other Caucasian customer, the only thing I saw difference between me and the other customers was the color of my skin. Now in 2024 This Publix supermarket get 1 star rating from me. The only reason I am given 1 star now because at least they let me a 61 years old African-American into store to do my shopping.

Second time getting a sub from here. Both times were bad, but this time was worse. We have stomach aches and nausea. Will not be getting one from here again.

I did quick grab & go subs, calorie counted on teas, lemonade, coconut water & drinks. Deli was sold out on falafels. I ordered a sliced turkey, bacon, provolone cheese, sliced tomates & cucumbers, black olives, spinach, black pepper, mayo, honey mustard & Chipotle sauce on a whole multigrain sub roll. It was cute how the courtesy team members were dressed in customs.

The issue they have is the way they bag the groceries. They want to put everything in one bag; bread with the ketchup and bananas....etc.

Not the best Publix that I’ve been to. It’s pretty small and the fruit seems to always be on the verge of going bad.
