Dr. Houston and his staff are one of the best I have dealt with in my 40 years of dealing with eye issues. I would absolutely recommend reaching out them with retina and eye swelling issues.

Florida Retina Institute has been caring for me for 7 years and even though they were the best in the area, I have noticed that they are constantly improving by becoming more efficient with time spent in visits. Appointments are on time with immediate assessments and doctor care. Also, they always do a full assessment.

I was having shots on my left eye for 3 years now at Ocala Eye and each time was a torture for me: my blood glucose was spiking up to 300 due to nervousness. The burning pain of iodine was always making me cry for help! The cleaning and scrubbing were unbearable.
That was then, until I Dr. Houston of the Floritina Institute started doing the shots. No pain, no discomfort, no crying! Unbelievable. He has been so approachable and willing to answer questions. I love this new place.

I came to become a patient in an emergency. As a new patient, I was made an appointment within hours of calling. The staff and the provider have always been outstanding and caring. As many staff as they have, to support the amount of patients they service, I have never come across one that has not been polite and caring. Love Dr. Cunningham!!!!

Staff very uniformatable about what's going on had to ask why we were waiting so long they said they were waiting for authorization but never informed us and then had an attitude when I questioned them like I was bothering them

Dr Cunningham was very cordial during my retina surgery and did an excellent job. He was very quick and precise when I had follow up meetings, but I would’ve liked to spend it a little bit more time with him however, the last meeting he was very cordial and took plenty of time to answer my questions. In fact he wrote my medications in my notepad.
