Not a good experience. Our dog went in for a ¨wellness visit¨ and she came out with a sudden onset of IVDD according to the vet. Sheś an 8 lb maltipoo and although she´ś 9 years old she was perfectly fine before we took her there. After we picked her up and brought her home, she woke up with a severely hunched over back, her neck tilted to the right and couldn´t walk or move. She had a severe ¨gait¨ with her walk. I believe they manhandled her but since they took her to the back we have no proof or recourse - I will NOT be going back there and I had no reassurance from the vet when we went right back for an explanation, other than ¨she´s old and she needs x-rays.¨ I feel guilty for leaving our dog in their care - she suffered some kind of trauma but we have no proof - other than she went in fine and came out in a lot of pain and not herself.

Deserves zero stars. On Thursday 9/21 I went to banfield in Lake Mary to have two health certificates done for international pet travel to Netherlands. As you know this document is time sensitive, it can be done only couple days before the flight and at that time it also needs to be signed by usda.First of all they told me it will be only 150$ per certificate, when after I got a bill for 576.91. They took 2 hours doing them and charged per minute to fill out 4 lines, rabies and chip number. All information was on profile in banfield.Second, they couldn’t answer any of my questions, when will certificate be back, will it come to banfield or my address, or do I need to pay to usda their fee per certificate. Their answers ranged from “you need to drive to Tallahassee and get it signed in person”. As you know the USDA office is in Gainesville. I told them there is no appointments available, everything is done online. Then they told me “it’s just an endorsement and you don’t need to do anything or receive anything”. Logically then why I am going through this process, I need to receive paper that is signed from USDA.Third, on the next day I was going through paperwork and they messed up the vaccine information for one of my dogs and gave me another’s owner dog information on rabies certificate. I have two dogs under same last name and same phone number. When I called and told them, all they said you can just throw away the paper it doesn’t matter. I specified that on Health certificate they sent to USDA they messed up the information, they said they will look into it. I called twice since then and all I received is attitude and that 30 minutes and 2 hours is not enough time to look up. While on second time I called I pointed out their mistake and gave them the correct information for my dog. I called them latter again and all they told me they are working on it and they just mistyped the number while I can see the other’s dog rabies certificate and that’s the number on the health certificate. How can I be sure that this type they won’t put some other dog information and send it wrong again. Again USDA doesn’t work on the weekend (it’s Friday today). If you don’t know how to do something let people know and don’t waste their time and money. Dr. Jannette Pagan and 2 nurses/techs spend 2 hours filling out 4 lines and they messed up on my second dog, owner, weight, breed, age and rabies lot number. All that information was sent to USDA. They are closed on the weekend and my flight is on Tuesday and banfield still didn’t fix it. And that’s what I paid for per minute for them to mess up. Who is now going to pay for me to switch tickets and my dogs?

Warning!!! Do not use Banfield! I am so glad to be out of my one year contract! My dog has terrible allergies and they do nothing to help her and she can’t even breathe well sometimes, if you see one doctor and the go out on vacation another doctor will not prescribe meds for your pet! The maintenance plan is a JOKE!

Deserve zero stars. Totally incompetent place. Charge you for services that they are incapable of fulfilling. I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Veterinary Medicine and the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

As new pet parents we love the experienced and great way the team of doctors treat our Mr. Perfect! They explain things and make it easier to be informed fur parents!

had to go multiple times to make sure my dog had proper medications meanwhile my dog was suffering, not sure why they did not prescribe the right medicine in the first place. staff is extremely rude too. when i asked about what my dog’s different treatment options, they said “it’s either this or we could have your dog put down.” what type of professionals say that to a dog owner whose dog has freakin stomach ache???

I switched to Banfield Pet Hospital last year and couldn't be happier. Unfortunately today I had to put my 12 year old Yorkie down and the care and compassion not only the vet but the staff showed was AMAZING. The vet and vet tech showed such kindness and compassion during the whole experience it made a difficult situation bearable. Thank you so much to the whole staff at the Lake Mary Banfield Hospital, you are truly the best! Thank you from The Lee Family

Used to love taking my fur baby here! Until all of the vets mysteriously quit on the same day? And NONE of the front desk will provide answers as to why they all left at the same time or where they went? Would love to stay with Dr. Nicole Cordova but have no idea how to find her! Disappointed & upset. Give us answers

The nurses are friendly my dogs loved them. Unfortunately the staff at the front desk can be rude, not welcoming.I don’t recommend this clinic. We purchased a plan for our dog. Ironically he got sick during weekends when the clinic is closed. We came one day and the puppy was very sick. The front desk just shoved us out to a different vet because “they were very busy” and we had a plan. The puppy passed away next day. The clinic was very eager in how to receive the rest of the money for their plan. It was all about the money not about the patient, or fulfilling your duties to your customer.

It seems like people only leave reviews when they have something negative to say. As a cat mom for over 10 years, I get the frustration. I was also a Vet Assistant in college so I know how it feels from the back end too. Just moved to the area and booked my adult cat's appointment for his comprehensive exam. First I noticed there wasn't a lot of foot traffic which is a great sign! When checking in, the receptionist wasn't the friendliest... pretty unprofessional. When I was checking him in, she made the comment of "He's pretty cute..." like what? "Pretty cute?" So rude. Then I asked if I could leave after he's brought to the back and shop around PetSmart, and she said "I guess..." I guess, what?! But the Vet Tech and Dr. Vales made up for the receptionist's comment. Dr. Vale's was so wonderful and knowledgable, and my cat was cool, calm and collected with her the whole time. I wish I can skip the receptionist part and check in straight with the Tech and Doc but it is what it is. Thank you Dr. Vales!
