I can attest that every time I go to the Lake Mary Branch of Regions Bank, they greet me with a smile and ask how things are going, and, they remember my name even though the staff deals with so many people. It's a friendly atmosphere compared to the bank down the street. The staff suggested I might want to consider several different investment vehicles and two I chose. I didn't know about these investment opportunities until they showed/explained them to me. Thank you Regions Bank ! - Thomas J. Grimms

I had an appointment to open a new account and once I arrived there were a few people sitting in the lobby and a banker was helping a young couple with opening a new account. I ended up leaving after 30 minutes, since no one introduced themselves, I wasn't welcomed and it looked like no one cared.

"Who wants to open a new bank account?" (Barely-stifled yawns, with an eye-roll) "Who wants $400?" (Hands shoot up enthusiastically, mine included) And so it is that I found myself in this, oh, let's call it a 'money trap'. The offer came in the mail, with a special code (authentic) and several hoops to jump through (minimum deposit by a certain date after opening, opt for paperless). Having been around the bend enough times to know that I could be at risk of doing a lot for nothing, I had my ducks all in a row and checked all the boxes (or so I thought). First sign of trouble was that I couldn't create an online ID after opening the account. When I called, the agent all but laughed at me (at least it felt that way), saying it takes time, dude (to which I wanted to say, REALLY, in this day and age?). When finally I could access it online, I made a transfer from another bank - which got rejected 3 days later! In the mail, I received a statement saying I was over-drawn by $4. So off I go on the phone again. This time, I was told that the $4 was for paper statements, which I couldn't opt out of because I couldn't get an online ID. I was also told that I had to go into the branch (the very essence of "online banking convenience" apparently being the Regions motto!). Two days after jumping through that hoop, just when the deadline was coming up, I thought I'd call to make sure everything was now kosher. The agent told me, no I didn't qualify for the sign-up bonus because the offer had expired!!! In the next hour and a half, I was transferred, disconnected, credentialled time and again (even though I was on the same call), got into loops with no apparent exit... Thankfully, I finally got Myesha, who patiently heard the whole saga of my frustration, and would not let go until she set things right for me. So zero stars for Regions and their unimaginably stupid 'systems': the stars are totally for a human who treated me like a human.

I like Banking with Regions for my business. But some branches like this one just don’t like your business and make all they can to make feel unwelcome! So I guess the negative reviews are true. Starting using this Branch after i got second 8 to 5 regular job in Sanford so i can’t reach my original Sand Lake Bayhill branch. In the beginning all was fine but after i made the visit frequent like 2 times a week they starting creating virtual bureaucracies regarding my ID’s alleging they could not give me cash anymore. So, off we go elsewhere.

The negative reviews are accurate. This bank has terrible customer service and a absolutely ridiculous number of fees. Business banking is worse, with fees running me over $100/month. When I threatened to leave, nobody cared. Now at FAIRWINDS and I pay zero fees and have outstanding service.
