Very disappointed with recent experience at the Bok Cafe. Ordered the Chicken BLT. When I went to bite into it it was very tough and didn't taste very good. I tried cutting it with a plastic knife, that wasn't much better. When I turned the chicken breast over in the sandwich, it was a very unappetizing green color.Took it back and returned it. The staff said they had recently changed vendors. I asked if they tasted what they were serving, the answer was no.We've been Bok members for many years. We watched the Sweet Potato Fries everyone loved disappear. After that you could at least choose from different flavors of Potato Chips. Those also disappeared in favor of one kind. You can upgrade to Potato Salad. The Potato Salad was decent, but it was covered in some very not so appealing crumbles of some kind.My wife had a Favorite Wrap she liked, The Veggie Wrap, it was well made and tasty. The management did away with it, replacing it with a Chickpea Sandwich. She tried it and frankly it isn't very good. While the quality of food seems to be declining, 2 sandwiches with chips, an ice tea and beer with tip was $45.00.

Simple cuisine like often found in museums. You don't come here to dine, but the café is, in the best case scenario, the icing on the cake. This is also the case here, because all expectations are exceeded, especially in the beverage area, with a number of open wines, several beers on tap and various soft drinks. The dishes are simple but tasty and filling.

Such a great simple place to eat while enjoying Bok Tower and Gardens. We needed something light. I had the breakfast bagel (oh, I like my bagel toasted crispy) - just right. My daughter enjoyed her avocado blt - good bacon, lots of avocado. We sat outside, so calm and lovely.

The Blue Palmetto Café near the entrance to Bok Tower Gardens was a pleasant surprise! Extremely clean, very conveniently located, and well-run. There was a good variety of menu choices, including some adult beverages! All of our items were freshly prepared and delicious! Prices were reasonable, too. There is ample seating inside and out! Highly recommended!

We had a good experience at this location today. It's just been refurbished and is a much better atmosphere, clean, and very busy. My wife had the chicken Mediterranean salad, which was good and I had the chicken fingers which were also good. I would recommend eating outside as the inside gets quite busy with unsupervised children and just a lot of activity and tight seating. Although it may be a little bit warmer outside with the temperatures these days, it'll be quiet and peaceful, and a much better experience. The standing menu at the entrance of the Blue Palmetto Café is good, but the more current menus that her hand held on the inside give you the most current daily options. Check those out when you enter.

Cold brew coffee! Yes! It tasted like chocolate milk! My wife and I got 1 to share. It came in a disposable pack that we poured into 2 cups. We were practically fighting over it because it was so good! Great treat to enjoy in the hot summer!

After touring the gardens we opted to get lunch. We had the blueberry chicken salad. Generous scoop of delicious chicken salad on a bed of fresh greens. Garnished with plump sweet blueberries and sweet strawberries. Served with raspberry vinaigrette. Prices were good and service was great. Highly recommend

well funded school lunch, not good in the hood. Bok needs to put extra funding into the café and less money into the gift shop. ): love the staff! Please give chef a raise, and the kitchen more wiggle room to perfect the menu. Also pls stop giving me your Mediterranean Salad, I ORDERED PASTA!!! This is impastable! Will change my review after the needs are met. Packing my lunch. <3 not hating, just waiting. DO YALL NEED HELP? ): prayers to all.

First and foremost, Blue Palmetto Cafe isn't a restaurant that is generally open to the public. It is exclusive to patrons of Bok Tower Gardens. Ergo, only those who paid for admission to enter can actually enjoy what this restaurant has to offer. Think of it on the same lines as certain restaurants in theme parks that can only be enjoyed by park patrons.Located in the area of the main entrance, Blue Palmetto Cafe is a decent-sized restaurant that offers a simple ambiance with minute details of rustic Florida from the late 1800s, the time when Mr. Bok was alive. Since Bok Tower Gardens is considered a "gem in the midst of Central Florida," it is often a tourist attraction for Floridians and out-of-state visitors alike. Ergo, the noise level is just above the average most of the time. Restrooms are not located in the restaurant but a there are some outdoor restrooms near the outdoor seating area, in between Blue Palmetto Cafe and the gift shop, and on the south side of the entrance area in the visitor's center. As for food, there is quite an array of of salads, hot and cold sandwiches, pastas, and finger foods. My stepdad got the roast beef sandwich and chicken fingers. Both were very delicious for what they were but the price can add up if you order more than one thing. Most of the foods are between $10 to $20. There is also a basic beverage menu and a beer and wine menu too but we didn't order any of that.Overall, Blue Palmetto Cafe is a-okay. Probably not the best of the best but good enough to wet one's appetite after walking the grounds of Bok Tower Gardens. However, if you really want to save some money, Bok Tower Gardens allows coolers to be brought in so stock up on your favorite beverages, snacks, and meals.

Visited the cafe around 12:30, so naturally, it was very crowded, with patrons waiting in a line that extended outside the cafe. I was surprised to find only one staff member taking orders, which explained the long line. In about 10 minutes, another staff member arrived and began to take orders, which sped things up a bit and allowed patrons to wait inside rather than outside in the heat. I will say the staff was very pleasant despite the crush of patrons.I ordered the Chicken Blueberry Salad. It came with mixed lettuces, a small scoop of chicken salad, feta cheese, blueberries and pecans. More specifically, 4 pecans, 6 blueberries, the smallest cubes of feta cheese I have ever seen (and no feta flavor, either!) and the most flavorless chicken salad I have ever eaten. Totally not worth the price. Next time, I will pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it on a bench in the shade in the gardens, as I observed other visitors doing.
