I would NOT recommend Sandor Amador (Handysan Inc.) for ANY cabinet, closet, or floor projects. He took our payment for material and labor worth $4,252 and stopped showing up or answering our phone calls.
Our kitchen remodel started on 8/10/2024 and we were told it would take 3 weeks to complete. It is now 12/5/2024 (4 months later) and he has left the kitchen incomplete and hasn’t shown up or responded to our calls for 2 months. This is how he left the kitchen when he last showed up on 10/3/2024 (pictures: missing cabinets, uninstalled cabinet doors, baseboards uninstalled, gaps in flooring, walls/ceiling left unpainted, cabinet drawers do not close properly, trash and debris left on our yard, missing material, microwave uninstalled). When we call him, he only texts back saying he will come in the next few days but never shows. The delays and excuses have been endless since this first day we hired him.
Don’t trust anything he says. He only tells you what you want to hear to collect your deposit and then you’ll have to chase him to complete the work daily. He rarely comes when he says he will. And when he does, he shows up extremely late and puts in 2-4 hours of work. He will chase you aggressively you for payment draws to buy material and will disappear on you for weeks after you pay him. This is not a man who does honest business and is unreliable.
Save yourself the headache and hire someone else. I have a colleague who used him and had the same experience I had. Please read other’s reviews on Yelp, HomeAdvisor, & Thumbtack (has since been deleted due to negative reviews) as you will find others have had the same experience as well.
