This place really helped me. I was struggling with opioid addiction. They helped me medically and helped with the mental trauma that I had been carrying for over 25 years. Also just wanted to add that Jo done a EMDR session with me. She was able to guide me through the trauma and I was able to forgive myself and others that hurt me for so long. I am able to testify and say this place saved me and now I am able to live life to the fullest. Thank you Recovery Village.?

I specifically chose T.R.V. for EMDR and was not disappointed At ALL!!! JoJo is wonderful, I HIGHLY recommend her ! I knew I had to deal with trauma, deal with myself, and deal with my alcoholism that nearly killed me…yet again. I received far more than I had anticipated. However, I will first give thanks to my Lord and Savior JC as He knew what I needed when I couldn’t make sense of anything. And second my AA sponsor John K. and Mr Joe who both helped me find and be accepted to T.R.V. Jane was extremely helpful in guiding me through inner child work. Jane is a very gifted, talented and knowledgeable woman that helped me tremendously and was the perfect therapist for me. Thank you Jane! The fact T.R.V is not a “12step program” or a “faith base program” yet all of it and more is there for the offering was very eye opening once I had arrived and woke up from the fog I was in. I saw God everywhere and I went in there basically denying Him for what had happened to me. (and what I had done to myself) I’m not religious at all, religion to me is for ppl who are afraid of going to hell, spiritually is for people who have been there. I’m so grateful I have my spirit back in healthy alignment to the Man up stairs. No place is perfect, if you want to change your life and you sincerely have a desire to change then go there with that attitude and hang on like it’s life or death, because at the end of the day if your reading this, chances are it is. I went and dug my heels in for what I needed, and yes selfishly! I wanted my life back and I have a solid foundation again thanks to what was there for the taking at T.R.V. They won’t spoon feed you a magic recovery pill. You have to want it. Unfortunately there are ppl who will be there for 100 other reasons other than wanting to change, and that’s anywhere you may choose to go. Find others who want to be there and hang with them, make friends, friends for life ! I have. It’s a temporary stay so don’t dwell on the small stuff, be greatful of the opportunity and take every bit of it you can for yourself, that’s my advice. I could do two months standing on my head yet you’ll have ppl In there dragging you down over the most trivial of things IF you Allow it.
So many groups were outstanding and highly educational. Jodi’s groups were awesome, Harold, Charles… art with Jennifer, and her non art groups ….all of them, every one of the therapists / facilitators, they all have a wealth of knowledge and years of experience unique to themselves.
I was beyond blessed to of met Mr Owo who tragically passed away while I was there. My sincere condolences to his family and friends, and the staff at T.R.V. Such an amazing man to say the very least. In the extremely short time I knew him, he personally impacted my life, he blew me away.
God bless and good luck to whoever is reading this wishing your life would change. It can and it will if you are willing ! This is a great place so stop reading and quit bartering, and or manipulating others your hurting and just go, go for yourself ! Let go of stupid reasons not to go… job, the girl, the guy, money, blah blah … its all going to go away eventually, paradoxically if you go and sincerly change it will all get better, beyond your wildest dreams better!
PS having my Golden Retriever service dog “Cooper” with me was a blessing to myself and all of the lives he was able touch at The Recovery Village. We hope to come back and lead some H&I meetings together. Everyone loves Cooper ;) thank you Recovery Village for everything !

My EMDR session with Miss Jojo was an amazing life changing experience. She took a wounded woman and gave me the power to become the woman I am meant to be. Thank you.

I actually really took a lot from my stay at the recovery here. The groups therapy was excellent opening you to be comfortable with others that don’t judge and going through the same things as yourself it brings a lot into perspective and the individual therapy was definitely worth it as well i had stuff that i needed to get through to help me for my future and it really helped me in many areas. I do, however, think that maintenance should have more available times for emergency situations for example, air conditioners, severe pest control issues, and hot water going out. My stay here did involve the time when their hot water was out for an unhappy amount of time, but the treatment was good enough for me to stick it out and prefer to stay there like this I would assume an emergency situation that other vendors could’ve been assessed if we could’ve gotten the proper things needed to fix the situation although it is an uncommon thing to happen and all boilers have been replaced so it should not be future problem for others. The staff was excellent, very supportive and positive and helpful although it could use with a better system to train all the same rules amongst staff members some things were a learned by you go situation for them from what I could see but nothing severe it was just knowing who to ask so all things and answers were able to be found. Also staff and med list times and the beginning were a cluster F and you could tell they needed to train new staff better on the protocols or Perdiem nurses that were new but after a few weeks The system did get better with protocol using timeless and probably more training was involved so overall meds were not a problem. A lot is also about learning how to self advocate for yourself and take accountability or responsibility for certain actions or needs because in reality we do need to learn and practice these abilities for the outside after treatment. Also, your peer support is helped by facilities staff to steer people towards the right directions of others that may be able to help or understand what they’re going . There was many on site activities that were also held and privileges were earned for those that follow the rules the routine and structure but again we need this to help retrain our brains to help us better, cope and make better decisions in life to get through this jump and hurdle and continue on a recovered path. All in all I did value and appreciate my time. I also really value the relationships with staff and my peers that I was able to develop and the support I was able to use thank you very much recovery Village for the opportunity, faith, support, and guidance through this time in my life .

Worst uncomfortable staff, very unfriendly, unprofessional and disorganized. Very limited contact or use of own phone all the way through to IOP, stole a lot of my stuff, no return calls, set up like a hospital psych ward, the only plus is good food. Highly unrecommended unless you don't care about being robbed and limited family or support contact.

This place is really hard to communicate with someone to know about your loved one, some of them are rude and no empathy at all every time I call, that's my experience and is really bad because we have loved ones there that are sick and we suffer with them as well, they need to be more helpful

I guess they pick and chose who they care for and don't. I had a good experience but a very good friend of mine who needs them badly was denied entry on false information and that's just wrong. There denying covid is running ramped and the clinical director David acts like he hears your concerns but really just goes yep yep yep ok well why don't you get all your concerns together and then we'll talk and never does. I hope for the patients sake that they do something about the covid.

I had EMDR with JoJo and it was amazing. She took me on a journey through my trauma from beginning to end. At first I was skeptical and unsure. When the session started I felt a lump in my throat and a sense of being chained or weighed down by my trauma. By the end of the session I felt like the burden of my own trauma which chained me to my addiction had been lifted. I feel empowered and free from the things that used to bind me. I now have a sense of hopefulness for my future and the confidence to pursue my destiny.

Jojo does EMDR therapy here. I have never heard of it before I came and after sessions with her I was able to be free of the bad memories that held me back and obtain a new outlook in my thinking. EMDR was new to me but after I gave it a chance I left the room feeling so different in a positive and uplifting way.

I would not send my worse enemy here! They will screw with your medication, screw with your phone time, screw with your discharge, and if you need any legal documentation they will hold that over your head to keep you longer and longer knowing there is nothing you can do about it! Absolutely ridiculous! The only diamond in the ruff is Freddy the therapist she is a saint and WAY too good for this place.
