They are pretty uneducated when it comes to inheriting a car. The State of Florida does not care whose name it is registered in as long as you get the title in your name. Carvana approved my car without this unnecessary bullshit. I also think they might be slow?

We recently purchased a travel trailer and needed a capable truck to tow it. After comparing options on several major sites, we narrowed it down to three trucks, one of which was at CarMax in Lakeland. We also submitted our GMC Terrain for a trade-in estimate and were pleasantly surprised when their offer matched what Kelley Blue Book recommended. Even if the truck didn’t work out, we were ready to sell them the Terrain based on the offer.
We booked a test drive and came in to see the truck in person. Bruce greeted us right away, grabbed the keys, and had us on our way for a test drive after a quick license check. No salesperson joined us, which was a nice surprise. Once we were in the truck, we verified its towing capacity by checking the stickers inside the door and glove box. It not only had the capacity but also had a factory trailer brake controller, which sealed the deal.
We decided to move forward and were bracing for the usual dealership tactics, but none of that happened. They honored the online purchase offer, respected our online financing pre-qualification, and didn’t try to upsell or push extras. The longest wait was just for them to detail the truck and fill the tank.
My wife and I both dread car shopping, but this was easily the most hassle-free experience we’ve ever had. The truck came with a 3-month, 4,000-mile warranty and a 10-day return policy, which gave us extra peace of mind.
We’ll be replacing another vehicle in a couple of years, and CarMax will be our first stop. Hopefully Bruce is still there, he was fantastic to work with.

It's a place that if you have a car with at least 155000 miles and you want to sell it to carmax they probably buy it from you. The person who take care of me very honest and friendly. I'll recommend to anyone that wants to sell or buy a nother car from carmax 👍

Wow I really detest the car buying experience, and I was actually married to a dealer finance manager and know the ins and outs of purchasing a vehicle and all the shenanigans associated. I was in the market truck and did go check out a couple at our local dealers here in Leesburg, FL. As usual, a giant headache and walked away. So I went out on a limb and started checking out CarMax, and the other 2 big competitors of Auto Nation and Carvana. After some research I quickly elimated the other two and decided to give CarMax a shot. I already knew exacly what I was looking for so just took my time and watched what was coming in. If I can give any advice, know what you want so you can put a hold on the one you want to see as they go quickly and this buys you time to get there for a test drive. My experience with the Lakeland, FL was flawless. Their communication skills went above and beyond and they even took care of a minor issue that happened in transit. We did all our own homework on the vehicle as well, so there were no surprises. This was the most positive experience I have ever had buying a vehicle ever. Thank you Carmax Lakeland.
