I can't believe the negative reviews so I am writing this one. Our Weimaraner was very sick a few years back, and of course it happened in the middle of the night on a weekend. It was the middle of Covid and these sweet people working late at night took such good care of my big baby. He had pancreatitis. They kept him overnight and updated me. The staff was truly amazing. They followed up with my normal vet., who then called me. I will forever be grateful.

The only reason this place gets a star is because the gentleman that helped us during parvo testing and the woman who assisted us while waiting for the doctor were wonderful. Other than that this place is awful. My dog had swallowed a foreign object ... a dog owners worst nightmare. The doctor told us his health was rapidly declining and he needed immediate surgery. After discussion we found the surgery to remove the object would cost upwards of $6k. Through tears I expressed we didn't just have that money lying around, the doctor then said "this is why we have pet insurance. As if we didn't already feel awful this really put the nail in the coffin. Let's not forget you still have to pay out of pocket before pet insurance will refund you so her comment was unwarranted and rude. They then tried telling us we should surrender our dog to the local shelter. We chose to discharge our dog from this place and called else where. The vets we spoke with were APPALLED by price of the surgery they quoted. Ultimately his surgery would only cost about $1600 else where. DO NOT GO HERE, RUN.

I brought my baby in for vomitting, and they ran so many tests. She was not dehydrated. I was there for over 2 hrs and felt like I was never going to leave. They just wanted to run tests that were so expensive that I can't afford. By the time I left I still felt like they didn't solve anything.

This vet was awful. We went in because my dog was vomiting blood. They left us in the car for over an hour before bringing us inside. They tested my dog for Parvo which they said they would be back in 10 minutes with results and we waited almost an hour until we finally called them and asked for an update and we were told "a more emergent case came in so they are working on that". Im sorry but you should have enough staff to care for more than one animal at a time or at least update us and not leave us wondering. After almost 3 hours of being there we were handed an $800 bill for blood work and no answers.. now we have to wait to get in to see our everyday vet and pray my dog makes it through the night. What an awful place. I do not recommend.

Emergency foreign object removal.... Not something any dog owner wants to hear. Especially as someone who works in animal care themself I fully grasp the severity of this situation. It's a terrifying concept and a costly procedure to say the least. The techs were so kind and got us checked in quickly, her diagnostics were done and ran before I even had time to process. With my dog being deep chested they sent her X-rays out to a radiologist for a specialized opinion, even that came back faster than I could believe. Ultimately the procedure was so very expensive which is to no fault to the staff at all, in fact Dr. Pratt not only did a marvelous job on her surgery but also stayed past her out time to do so and save us a little money. Everyone was so kind, no one rushed me to make a decision I could potentially regret as I struggled to get my financial situation together. As far as staff, pet care, and customer treatment goes they were amazing! Their hours were accessible and they gave us lots of info throughout the entire process. I only wish they were able to provide in-house payment plans or participated with local SPCA/other fundraisers to have emergency funds/accessible payment options to pet owners who are not well off.

This place exudes passion and love for both the animals they serve and their patient's families. I'm new to the area, and I haven't had time to get established with a regular vet. Last Monday, my dog got a deep cut where her paw meets the rest of her leg. I took her in, and she had to get stitches under sedation. That night was nerve wracking. It was late, my dog was hurt bad, and of course, there's the stress of an unexpected hefty bill for the vet work. That all sucks, and you'd think it'd guarantee that my experience would suck. It didn't though. This business, and most importantly the people that work here, were exceptionally kind to my dog Kira, extremely patient with me and the stress I was experiencing, and resolute in their ability to help. While waiting, I could hear them on the other side of the closed door speaking gently to Kira while they helped her, when they discussed the treatment plan and the bill with me, they took the time to explain each bit of it and were patient with my distress over the cost. From start to finish, they communicated with me, and each interaction was kind, with a genuine smile and a caring comment. I can't imagine how taxing it is for them to routinely see these emergencies over and over, day to day, so to bring that love and patience to every interaction is truly something special. Mind you, it didn't just end at that visit, but continued when I would call with concerns and when I unfortunately had to revisit. Dr. Rothrock is extremely knowledgeable and has the confidence in their abilities that puts your mind at ease and leaves you feeling confident in your own. I wish I could remember every team member who also helped me, but most importantly every single one of them, from reception to the vet techs, was so kind, so caring, so passionate, and so understanding. This is an emergency vet, so truly I hope no one has to ever need their service. However, if you have a pet emergency, I promise you, this is the place that you want to be. To any staff member that reads this, please share my message with your whole team. You all deserve the praise. Thank you so much, Quinton and Kira Clawson

Dr. Rothrock took great care of my Pug. The staff was incredibly kind and explained everything thoroughly. Our baby came in with a tail bleeding a lot and they fixed her right up.

My first time here was this past Saturday when my dog was not feeling so well thinking she was having a seizure. When I walked in they weren't very welcoming like I was an inconvenience to them and they signed me and asked me what was wrong about an hour later before they called me back ,they just x-rayed her and took her blood $600 dollars later , an hour later they told me that she had a little bit of fluid in her lungs didn't give me any home remedies to help her nor did they give her any antibiotics to help her. When I called two days later to see if there was anything they could do they had no chart or paperwork on my dog. that I was even there. So then not even 10 minutes later they called me and were asking about how my dog was doing after I was already upset with them and they were trying to get me to come back and spend more money on useless information that I got the first time. I will never be going back and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here for an emergency.

This animal clinic if I could i would give zero stars and I do not recommend this vet to anyone I had brought my kitty that was a stray who was abandoned by mom who I had tooken care of for a couple of weeks until I brought her in with a serious life threating condition and they were just worried about the money instead of stabilizing the kitten and they weren't caring at all they gave her cpr without any fluids or tube feeding or pain medication or antibiotics didnt give a diagnosis so we just watch the kitten we tried to save a second time getting killed all over again by parkway medical vet clinic when all we took her for was to save her and they charged 500 just to watch her die all over again so they didn't do absolutely anything and I had token her to a vet before thats very caring and very reasonable and actually loves his job hardee vet clinic but since it was Sunday I came here so please if you love and care for your pet please take your pet to a different emergency room you would think for a emergency they would try to save instead of take your money and watch a beautiful helpless animal die !!!!

The vet here I can say for a fact only cares about charging you and charging you. A veterinarian takes an oath to not leave an animal in worse condition than when found and to not cause further harm. Money hungry place that doesn't care for pets. We came in with our cat who has been suffering for years for gnawing herself raw. For the past years we have tried every pill, shot , and medication known to modern veterinary medicine. Nothing has worked this cat has eaten her flesh raw. Her head is raw, her body is raw, all our efforts to no avail. The cat is struggling to breathe, is not eating, not drinking. The veterinarian here decided this cat just needs more steroids( mind you her vet records show a steroid shot just a week prior, and already being on the same pills he's pushing on us). My father is dying of cancer we can barely afford to keep him alive. But this veterinarian rather see a poor old cat suffer with open wounds and a desperation to chew herself, not eating, drinking, barely walking, clearly suffering so they can make another 500$ off a heartbroken family already dealing with loss. go anywhere else and listen to the other reviews!

I took my dog in because she had a huge hematoma, fluid (infection), or swelling on her shoulder that just happened for no known reason in about an hour. We didn't know if she was bitten or injured herself so I took her in. It cost me almost $400 and they did no bloodwork, xrays, and could not even tell me if it was blood, fluid, or swelling. They just gave us meds for each possibility just in case and sent us home. The antibiotic was $182 and they didn't even know if it was an infection, Carpofen (anti-inflamatory) which can also cause bleeding if it was a hematoma, and 400mg Gabepentin for pain. Our vet gave us 100mg Gabepentin for pain once but 400mg? and the she wasn't showing that she was in pain. I'm an idiot for not walking out or just waiting till morning and taking her to our vet. Learned my lesson and won't be back. Just like people doctors, they must have drug reps pushing ridiculously priced meds on people. The people are very nice but this is a scam.

If I could give them ZERO stars I would!!! Horrible horrible place!!! We went in on a Saturday at 2:30pm cause our pit-mix had bloody vomit. We waited in the parking lot for over 4 hours just for someone to come take her away without letting us go with her. My dog was terrified and could tell she was super scared to go anywhere without me. They didn't care. We kept being told "we're just waiting for a room to open up to get you inside" it's 10:45pm and we're still waiting on the car for our dog. 8 FREAKING HOURS!!!!!! Completely ridiculous, they don't care. Take your animals elsewhere if you truly care about them.

We received wonderful, kind, patient service last night for our Springer Spaniel puppy Cash. Everyone from the receptionist, to vet tech Rissa, to Dr. Curry was pleasant and helpful. They took great care of Cash and had us out the door and on the road to him feeling better quickly. I'm relieved to know this team is there if we ever need them again. Much thanks to y'all at Parkway!

I've been there twice, both times for difficult reasons. Both times, they have been very polite, caring, and sensitive. I can't vouch for others opinions, but I can say that if you treat them nicely, they will treat you with the utmost respect for you and your furry family member.
