The staff is friendly, and the location is great, but the property is in dire need of an update. I’m here on business, and my local colleagues tell me it’s basically there to catch overflow traffic from the SpringHill Suites (Marriott) next door. The room was spacious and clean, but the carpet, walls, and furniture were tired and stained. It makes us wonder if they are just planning on shutting down eventually. It's not the worst place to stay by any means, but for the price, it needs some work.

Only have a two star review because despite the outdated rooms already being costly (service was nice) , I would not recommend due to the parking you have to pay for additionally.

Room was bad … bath was small… shower curtain Rod unstable … tub chipped … commode cracked…. Mattress hard … air conditioning rattled all night loudly, plus a terrible breakfast….. I actually paid a lot more than other hotels in Lakeland for this dive plus they charged me to park at a rundown property. Hard to believe Hyatt let’s them put their name on it. Unless you are intoxicated and attending an event next door don’t stay here … it is a severely overpriced rundown property.

Every single person we met treated us like family. Room was clean, comfortable and affordable. Will definitely come back.

Excellent service, very nice and helpful staff. My room was clean. It just needs a few updates. The plug-ins are wearing out so the blow dryer and my charger didn't stay plugged in. The microwave didn't work. The mattress and lights could use to be updated.I liked my view of the pool.Nearby activities: Next to the Lakeland center, perfect for events.Within a few miles or minutes of excellent restraunts.Food & drinks: Had a nice breakfast with plenty of choices. Offered milk, juice, water, coffee and tea. Hot, cold cereal, eggs, sausage, bacon, French toast, waffles, yogurt, fruit, bagels, donuts, toast. It was all good.

Hotel is a great location. Rooms are not in the best condition, lobby is weathered and dirty. Breakfast is subpar. Not the normal Hyatt place standard.

Within 1 hr of checking in, I had a very disappointing interaction w/ mgmt. Devin was unprofessional & mildly confrontational when informing that I couldn't extend my reservation another night. Oddly enough, I had just confirmed my extention w/ a lady @ the front desk 5 min prior to Devin calling my room to inform me that "no rooms were available for tomorrow night". Even after explaining to him that it was confirmed by his staff, he argued with me. We are regular hotel patrons who spend 100+ nights/ yearly on the road & encounter many different personalities at our various stays. This was a notable visit, and not for good reasons.

From check-in was a issue. Not too friendly, unprofessionalism at it's best. Took 3 people to check us in. Get to the room and it smelled like smoke. It's suppose to be a non-smoking room. We asked to be switched to another room, due to spouse's bad allergies and all of a sudden they are sold out of rooms. I am not paying $200 cleaning fee for a room that was smoked in by a previous renter. I will take your behinds to court first. Not very accommodating. Don't recommend THIS LOCATION

Great hotel. Great staff. Just be aware of the parking situation. They have a company that manages the parking online and you have to pay to park on the property (even as a patron of the hotel). Very shameful. I won’t be patronizing this one anymore.Rooms: The king bed with the couch is very comfortable and is definitely worth it

A hotel to vomit! When we arrived, we were surprised that our room had been rented to another person because we had arrived too late! So no king size bed but two double beds and no reduction even though the double room cost me a lot on the Booking site. The receptionist admitted to us that the rooms reeked of marijuana and that the smell was bearable and that she apologized for it. The rooms are extremely noisy, the neighbor flushes the toilet upstairs and you feel like it's your home. The air conditioning is leaking and the carpet is soaked with water and the smell is disturbing. The cleaning staff uses a lot of spray against odors and is disgusting! Are we in a hotel? The price is low but the quality is not there! Put in a few extra bucks and go somewhere else…

Love the location, the heated pool, the free breakfast with your stay, the 24-hour gym, and the hair and skin care they use is amazing. The only con that you need to know about is that they require full payment for the stay upfront. So make sure your funds are readily available and don't end up like us with frozen accounts. We came from out of state, called in advance, and they said only $15 would be charged, and the card would be on hold until we check out. It's not fun being on vacation with frozen accounts. The only thing I request is that the staff all be on the same page on the policies so this doesn't happen to anyone else.Rooms: Rooms are spacious and the beds are super soft.Nearby activities: There is plenty of things to do within a 1 mile radius. (Shopping, food, bars, fun activities)
