For the cost, it’s a fine gym. Been coming here for several years. The locker rooms could definitely use an upgrade, and the Wi-Fi works about 70% of the time. They do upgrades every so often, and the staff has always been friendly. It’s always got people in it, but I’ve never had to wait for anything. If you need a no frills gym, this is for you.

The set up is terrible! Also they screwed down the benches so now I have no idea how I’m gonna use the bench for hip thrusts at the squat rack , like I preferred. The new renovation and also they got rid of bringing a guest even if you paid premium just for that. Terrible changes and gives out a money hungry vibe. Gonna look for a new gym.

Edit to add: as of 1/1/24 the memberships are changing and the cheapest option is nearly $30/month, after much consideration i will be continuing membership at this new price. Rest of review remains the same as before.First off, slogan is misleading. ‘9.99 a month. no commitment’ when you sign up for this gym, the contract is in fact a commitment to one year of membership. They get away with this slogan because you are ‘free to break contract at any time… for a fee’ also be aware that in the contact is an annual fee, which will charge you a few months into the membership, as i write this, the cheapest membership (9.99/month plus cc processing fees) i believe the annual fee is about $50 3-months into your membership.I believe these things should be more up front so people aren’t surprised and feel scammed, as many of these reviews have relayed. It’s all in the contract, but it should be explained in more detail at sign-up.All that being said I do plan on continuing my membership unless new management makes it a place i don’t enjoy visiting. (They’re already changing what is provided by membership starting 12-1-2023 as it relates to bringing guests)But the facility itself is well maintained, machines work, staff are kind and helpful if you have questions. It is expected that each member use the provided cleaning products to sanitize the machines after use, which i appreciate.

I’ve been a long time member and I can say that since the senior partners of the old owner/operators took over, the gym has been on a lethal downward spiral. The gym is now hot, stuffy, and smells of perspiration. The group x members have to now open the doors to enjoy some air flow. The noise from the classes do not mix well with the environment outside of the room. This is apparently a result of the default temperature of the club being hiked up according to staff, or there is an HVAC down. The tanning bed rooms have been converted into storage areas with boxes of towels that no one wants to have, let alone purchase. The place is consistently dirty. The layer of dirt and filth that is on the machines is demonstrative of one not caring about their equipment or the members using it. The new configuration of equipment is laughable at best and lethal at worst. Don’t believe me? I challenge you to come in during prime time hours on a Monday or Tuesday and then tell me I am being hyperbolic. The staff used to be friendly, but now they are either grouped up together at the desk NOT greeting members, or they are broken off into groups discussing personal problems within earshot of the members. It is obvious that there is not a strong leadership figure leading by example on what it means to provide a white-towel, top-shelf member experience. The most frustrating part is that Lewis and Cummings have been in the industry for decades and still operate an archaic approach to business that operates at the member’s expense. If it were not for the low cost model of quantity over quality approach they would most likely be out of business. Imagine how much more revenue could be generated by actually giving a damn about the membership AND taking pride in the way you operate your business. Focus more on member retention instead of new member acquisition! Do better than your predecessors, and do better than you are now.

Decent gym, staff were incredibly unhelpful. They did not make me feel welcome, and when letting them know we were new, we were met with an "okay" and left to our own devices. No welcome, no tour, nothing. Would not come back.

This gym has gone to trash fast in the last month with new ownership. It’s hotter inside the gym than outdoors and there’s no air flow so it stinks inside too. Great equipment is pointless if you don’t run the AC!

I just came in to visit seeking a possible membership. Nice layout and I like the movie room (good idea). My only turn off (main reason I didn't join) is upon entering the center, it smelled like sweat. I understand it's a gym, but I've been guest visiting a lot of gyms that don't.

This place was very good until new management came in. I worked out here for almost 10 years, with the same guy, a friend of mine. They accused us of him training me. Can I just say he actually got permission from the former owner and I’m the only person he goes to Just Move with (except his girlfriend and his son) instead of introducing himself or even asking who I was, the young accused us in the gym while working out. Needless to say, I quit, that very day and not one person has reached out to get my business back. If this is how threat someone who stuck with them through thick and thin, construction, etc… They don’t deserve anyone’s business.

Not satisfied with the service I received went to cancel membership do to my job provides us a gym cheaper the guy had no empathy charged me 52 dollars to cancel stating because I have to be there a year to cancel for free and March would be my year or I can keep membership and pay next 4 months and not even be there to use it? Then he said since I didn't give a 30 day advance after I payed the 52 dollars I will be charged this month's membership?? Another 40 dollars smh... In which I have gave more than 30 days notice cause I called up there and spoke to a woman about canceling my membership but of course no documentation in the system because they didn't note my account..

I've been working out my entire life and was in the fitness industry for 20 years. That afforded me the benefit of going to many gyms throughout the US and some foreign countr

DO NOT use this gym. I was a member for FIVE YEARS and when my debit card renewed it stopped taking my payment out and when I got a call about it I called the number and updated all of my payment information. Apparently they never updated it on their end and cancelled my membership and sent my account to collections without notifying me of anything.

The gym itself is good and the staff is very nice, but the kids club is terrible. I took my daughter there 3 times and each time, the two girls working in there did nothing the entire time but sit in the corner on the ground on their cell phones. There was 0 interaction with the kids. And on top of that, they kept the lights off! There was one dim light in the entire room and no windows so the kids were all playing in the dark. When I asked them why there was no light, their reply was “the lower light keeps the kids’ energy levels lower.” Ummm, no. It’s a kids club. Adults who are equipped to babysit and entertain kids should be working in a place where you’re expected to pay for childcare. Also, my daughter got hit by another kid in the kid’s club the last time she went, and told me as soon as I came to pick her up. I asked the girls working there about what happened and they said “I don’t know, I didn’t see it.” Very unsettling. I will not be bringing my daughter to this location, but the North side club has a wonderful kids club with great employees who interact with the kids and provide a great atmosphere.

Horrible experience. Do not sign up. Look for another gym. No customer service. After three years as a member, I get a huge time consuming run around about canceling. I Needed to cancel my membership and I was informed that I had to go to the actual facility and meet with a manager to cancel my membership. Can you believe this. Why on earth would I need a consult with a manager to cancel. I can think for myself. I don’t need to be help hostage by my gym. I’ve been in gyms my whole life and this is the first time I’ve ever heard of anything like this. They are just trying to make it hard to cancel for members. Hope new prospective members will heed this warning. Once you’re a member they refuse to let you go. I suggest that new people look for another gym with customer service.

This gym has been remodeled since I last visited. I just started going back and love it. The men's locker room has an odd layout to me but is clean and functional as is. The staff has been friendly and the equipment seems newer and clean.
