I literally want to give 0 stars,The grooming was up charged because they EYE balled my dog and said she was larger than what she actually is, she’s only 9 pounds.But I tried to look past it, MY DOG CANE BACK LOOKING EXACTLY HOW I LEFT HER, dirty. And she didn’t smell of any shampoo at all.It was my first and LAST time ever dealing with them.Oh, they also charge a service fee ( that was up charged) AND A PRODUCT USE FEE .Horrible experience

I've been to this store off and on since it opened and having acquired a new dog I thought it would be the best place to start out. Unfortunately the newly remodled store is STRESSFUL! It is dark and crowded and confusing. It is cluttered and cumberson to push a cart around. I thought they must be in process of making the change and therefore excusable. But they made this change 5 months ago! They need to rethink their organization, or lack thereof.

The US 98 Pestco in Lakeland FL looks bigger, cleaner and has more things for the animals and the service is friendly.

I made appointment for my 4 month old puppy for grooming on Jan 15th 2024 1pm the groomer was MS BECKY and her coworker not sure the young lady name was on duty that day also a groomer..I drop my puppy off thinking he was in a safe place in good hands so l left the young lady groomer told me my puppy will be ready for pickup at 4:30 pm that day and that they will reach out to me.. they called me 1 hour earlier which was 3pm so I ask how did my puppy do and they reply telling me that they couldn't give my puppy a hair cut as I requested I asked why and there words was that my puppy I was Anxious so they couldn't I was a bit sad disappointed but completely understood since it wouldn't be safe if they did proceed so I said I'll bring when he's ready...also Ms BECKY charged me services I didn't request I Pacifically took my puppy for a haircut instead they bathed him blow dryed him without even asking me and charged me these services that's beyond the point... when I brought my puppy home I notice Severe burns or cuts on his belly I have all pictures to prove this these lady's are disgusting how can you work at a petco when it's dealing with pets and you are abusing them not sure what's going on but will be contacting my lawyers and cooperate.. please I beg all Society to please do not bring your pet here I will never return honestly this is one of the worst pain I have ever experience my heart breaks for my pup I can't imagine the fear and pain he went through not sure how they burn him could have been the heat from blower on high or they intentionally burn him cut him from shaver idk but I will get to the bottom of this also MS Becky stated my pup didn't like the blower so I wonder if maybe she got impatient or they accidentally cut my pup either way I should have been inform!!! Stay away from this place im so disappointed and these lady's must be fire for good or they will continue to hurt Innocent puppies:( it's no wonder this place is empty when I go there true nightmare and just Traumatizing my family is greiving at this time again stay away from these criminals the address to this place is 98 North Lakeland Florida

I call them this morning to ask a few questions. The lady on the phone was pretty passive aggressive with the way they do business. I ended up showing up 10 minutes to my scheduled appointment. Again, the front desk staff was pretty ignorant the way they handled the appointments for my puppies. I understand I had to wait in my car until the exact time. With no accommodations or an explanation on the situation like the groomers are running late I was sent out to my car and they were going to call me when the groomer got to PETCO. I went back to my car to drop off my pups. Called and scheduled an appointment with someone else. Went back and cancelled. When I cancelled there were no question on why I cancelled and if there is anything they can do for me to reschedule or otherwise. Not good customer service. I don’t recommend PETCO and I will never return. I have been going to this location for many years for my pets, 2 birds, 3 dogs, 2 cats for food and medicine and spent a lot of money. I am taking my business elsewhere as of today.

I signed up so that I could receive a free bag of dog food every 9th bag and they told me all they needed was my phone number and email, so I gave it to them. They didn’t tell me I had to download the app and enroll in order to receive our bags of dog food. So I gave them my phone number every time we were in there thinking they could see my account and that my transactions were being recorded. That wasn’t the case. So I called customer service to explain and there’s nothing they can do about it even if I show them my transactions. That’s poor customer service. We purposefully went there for the savings.

I can't give anymore energy to my issue with grooming services at this Petco other than this one time to share my experience. This location is unorganized and will try to tell you what kind of cut they're going to perform. Brought in my puppy to be groomed, but they put limitations on their services and try to talk you out of specific requests. You're better off finding a local mom and pop groomer that will respect your request. Save yourself a headache.

I had a $20 gift card that I couldn't use because the cashier didn't know how to process it for my purchase. He didn't bother to ask for help. The store was cluttered.
