Poor quality Red Wing boots employee automatically says customer damaged boots when the threads came out of boots on the toe .Not covered under warranty and boots are less than 9 months old.Beware before you buy Red Wing boots the 12 month warranty is non existent.

Great place to get a quality pair of boots for riding motorcycles. Not only do they have a great selection the service is great and the people are friendly. I would highly recommend stopping in and checking them out.

I bought the Red Wing Axil 05909 Brown 12.0 W2 boots from the Lakeland, FL store on June 25, 2025, and within just 19 days, both boots developed holes in the toe area, completely wearing through the leather and exposing the interior. For a pair of boots that cost over $200, this is unacceptable.
These are supposed to be work boots, built to meet ASTM standards and withstand tough environments. I wore them under normal jobsite conditions — nothing extreme — and treated them with Red Wing’s own leather cream, which I also purchased at the time of sale. There’s no excuse for this level of failure in less than three weeks.
To make things worse, I went back to the same store to address the issue, and the staff was completely unhelpful. The customer service was terrible, and I was basically brushed off with no attempt to make things right. For a company that prides itself on quality and service, this experience was extremely disappointing.
I will not be purchasing from Red Wing again and strongly advise others to reconsider before spending this kind of money. Low-quality product and even worse support.
Update: After being told to call Red Wing customer service, I did — but it’s been over a week and I still haven’t heard anything back. No follow-up, no resolution. This company is a joke. The lack of accountability and communication only reinforces how poor their customer service really is. Ended up repairing the boots myself.

Took my father in to help him buy some work shoes since he speaks little english . The guy there with a beard I forgot his name , was nice at first but my father brought in his own insoles to try out with the boots, the guy there was offended all because my father didn’t want to try the insoles he “recommended” . After my father was comfortable with the shoes it was time to pay, my father was paying in cash and I saw the guy laugh, I helped my father with the cash payment but he was few dollars short so I helped him with the rest, I was then going to count the cash and the guy rudely said “ill count the cash” wanting to hurry us up with his hand gesture he made. I understand he is salesman and wants to upsell but do not be rude.. kindly accept when someone brings in to their own items to try on with items they need to purchase. I work in sales also and this is basic standards .

I casually visited the store today ,loved those shoes 👞 didn’t buy them today but one day when I need the work shoes I would definetly buy them , quality of shoes looks good though

The customer service and attention we received from Harry was off the charts. I can not Thank him enough for going above and beyond my expectations. Due to the quality of customer service Harry provided to my husband and I, we will drive the extra way to do business with Redwing shoes in the future. We are very grateful. Thank you again Harry.

Great customer service, Harry was my rep and was quick and friendly, answered my questions and got me shoes that fit correctly. Was even able to get a discount for shoes that were back-stock, and they fit even better with the Redwing insoles. All in all a great environment and a good store.

I came in on a Sunday to get a new pair of work boots. As soon as my wife and I walked through the door we were greated kindly,not swarmed by the sales people. I told then what I liked, they made a few suggestions, scanned my feet and got me into the most comfortable pair of boots I've ever worn...and they weren't even broken in yet. The staff was super friendly, not pushy,and helped in every way I asked. I won't be buying work boots from anywhere else.
