I have tried being as discreet and polite as possible in asking the hotel to refund my stay, but the GM is not responding so I have to take to the reviews. I stayed at this hotel while visiting my mom in hospice from out of state. This was a very sad and stressful time for me, and I can honestly say the staff was phenomenal. I didn’t know how long I would have left with my mom, I literally extended day by day and they were so understanding. When I left though, whole new story. I had a long drive home and had been itching, and over the next few days home I noticed big bites. Long story short, I had bed bugs! I reached out to Marriotts main website and the GM from the location followed up with me. She told me she checked the room and didn’t see anything, but I was persistent because I knew I had bed bugs and I knew where they came from, so she agreed to have pest control check the room and reach back out to me. I have never heard back, I have sent follow up emails to her, I sent pictures to her, I offered to send the invoice from my pest company I had come to my home. She’s not responding and I feel hopeless because it’s itchy, painful, frustrating, and humiliating, but I cannot afford the full treatment of my home. I wasn’t expecting this and I just don’t have those types of funds. When I did talk to her she suggested I could have got them from a plane, but I drove so that simply isn’t possible. I need them to stop trying to place blame elsewhere, there’s nowhere else, and I’m struggling. I didn’t even ask the full amount of treatment, I asked for a refund to help pay for the treatment. Please do the right thing. We both know where I got them from!

DONT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!!The room smelt like a heavy smoker had laid in bed chain smoking for a week. Unfortunately, we did not know how bad the bedroom area was until 1130pm. The breakfast the next morning was an absolute joke! Over cooked hard sausage patties and dried out scrambled eggs. When sitting or standing anywhere outside of the property we were bitten by fire ants. This included by the pool, and the dog walking area. Our key cards quit working. After talking to some repeat customers I found out the floor we were on was used by some men who opened the windows to smoke the entire week prior. One told me breakfast was the same everyday and always bad and that the key card system had been broken for months. To the Manager who never returned my phone calls...but did take the time to email my husband. An apology is not enough when you clearly knew about the issues in advance.

Dirty room, surfaces not wiped down, filthy windows, phone dirty - would not touch. That was room 212. Transferred me to room 312, also dirty but had a bug on pillow when pulled back bedspread. Front desk wanted to give me another room. I refused and checked into the Marriott Courtyard thankfully across parking lot. It was 1am. I contacted Andrea Friend, General Manager telling her I would like to discuss photos of bug and filth before I fly out. Too busy for me. This will be handled by the corporate office; hopefully Andrea will find time for Marriott Corporate Office. Dirty, poorly operated hotel, stay elsewhere.

We opted for this hotel due to its affordable price and convenient location near the highway and theme parks. The staff was courteous and accommodating, providing us with plenty of toiletries and towels. However, the fire alarm testing during our stay was unexpected and disrupted our plans, causing a particular concern for our baby and toddler's hearing. We feel that the hotel should have called ahead to notify us of the testing so that we could have rescheduled our vacation dates accordingly. The mold on the windows and in the showers was also disappointing.One positive aspect of our stay was that they allowed early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. It made our arrival much smoother and more convenient.While the two-bedroom connecting suite with a full kitchen seemed like a great idea, it didn't live up to our expectations. The self-serve laundry also required payment, which was an unexpected additional expense.If you're planning a family vacation in the area, we suggest considering spending a bit more on a nicer hotel even if further away from the theme parks. The free breakfast offered basic options, which our kids didn't mind. When booking a two-room suite, be sure to verify whether it's one suite with two rooms or two separate suites.

I have stayed here a couple times and the people who work here are without a doubt the nicest hotel staff I have ever met. 10/10 I will continue to stay here because of the employees. They are helpful, but also very kind—the energy of this hotel is incredible.

Solid hotel with a good breakfast. TV is cable with HBO, no streaming options like other Marriott hotels. Next to lakeland village which is loaded with shops, restaurants and more. Gym could be more pleasant, but equipment is okay. They have a pool and hot tub. The rooms have kitchenettes.Walkability: Plenty in walking distanceFood & drinks: Includes a good morning breakfast

The rooms weren't the best place to stay. My husband got several bites from ants. Before this incident we tried to work with the front desk to give us a good price because we would be there from 4 to 6 months they would not. Budge off of their price.. We stay in residence and all over the United sthanks. This is the only one that would not work with that sonor price.

Being Mariott Bonvoy members, we have stayed at a lot of Mariott properties. This is one of the cleaner and better-maintained Residence Inns we've stayed at. Location worked well for our needs. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Prompt friendly service at the front desk.

Not what I expected.While the front desk staff are very sweet & helpful and that’s very much appreciated, this hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment.The first room we were given was extremely dirty. Dirt all over the floor and carpet, stains on the counters in the kitchen and bathroom (and on the tv), etc.The second room while a little better, was far from clean. There were dirty spots on the walls and in the kitchen. The couch had several strands of hair, as well as lots of dirt on it. Walking barefoot on the carpet produced dirty and black feet. Ew!The worst was the pull out mattress. Stains all over it.I asked for clean sheets and received torn yellow ones.

Super friendly place. Very clean. Breakfast better than pandemic norms. Close to many restaurants walkable. Easy using back roads to access most of Lakeland. Planned on two night stay, stayed 4 nights. Very dog friendly many areas to walk to.

The room was awesome very clean, very spacious. The lady that checked us in her name was Tuesday. She was very friendly helpful. The price was great for the room. I definitely will be going back there and I recommend that place.
