“With prices much better than any corporate resale store this is one of my favorite places to shop! They have quality items at great prices. I'm an enthusiastic shopper yet fussy about what I actually buy but here's always something really interesting and irresistible to "spark joy" at Segunda Vida. Another big plus is that it is one of several vintage shops on that block so if you're interested in household items or clothing or jewelry or furniture it's all right there.”

“Great place to find books in an organized order at a good price. My wife enjoys coming here to find good books to read. I picked up a book about Sarasota history.”

“So happy to live and work right next to this gem of a store! I am in there several times a week and ALWAYS find something unique or useful. The staff is absolutely wonderful and works so hard, and Sheri is the most kind and loving person on the planet❤️

Super clean, well organized, amazing prices, great parking, and always welcoming and friendly!”

“I have to say this is my favorite store in town, not only because of the absolute treasures I find, but because of their commitment to giving back to our local arts organizations. What a treasure, and Sarasota Staple.”

“Love most restores & you (if you are just learning) how to shop at these stores. It's amazing the deals you can get. I did find this one cluttered with too many cheaply made new items that reminded me of Bligi Lots. I really dont care for that part. We go there to find a lot of home builders materials, used furniture or items that have more value, to me, than the stuff they are putting out. I know its probably hard to get the donations they need to do the good that Habitat for Humanity does for people in need, but the basis of what they have had for years is being lost in the low quality things that are in this store. I still love all the ReStores & have shopped at them for years. I lived in Canada for 8 years & really got introduced to them there. I always look up where one is located when I go to any city & find the ones located there to visit.”

“This was an amazing store with genuinely unique items. I was very surprised by how big the store was too. The owner (assuming) was incredibly kind and quick to help, all without being an overbearing sales person. The prices are more than reasonable too for how vintage and one of a kind they are. I will be back for sure!”

“The 2 gentlemen that came to pick up my deceased relatives items were prompt and extremely helpful. Raphael at the main office was especially helpful and accommodating. Donated several items (sofa, recliner, coffee tables, end tables, kitchen table and chairs. Highly recommend this charity.”

“This place is incredible.....everything you didn't know you needed under one, air conditioned, roof. Family owned and operated & that friendliness shows through every time you shop here. Worth a visit and your time. Thank me later :)”

“I would rate this closer to a 3.5 out of 4…it kind of smelled strange in there which makes me want to leave immediately. With that being said, there are lots and lots of wedding dresses if you are looking for a deal! There was a decent selection of lululemon. Not many great options for designer bags. Overall fair prices and options for men!”

“Great place to hunt for some treasures. Quality, clean items that are a step above other consignment or thrift stores in the area. Often vintage furniture/ furnishings from estates come through. They don’t keep trash on their shelves and turn over inventory often so you have to check frequently to see what is new. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great sale days. My favorite trendy, upholstered like new bedroom chair was $10!”

“Well organized & clean, found a potential item that had just been put out but not yet priced and the manager gave me a price on the spot that was really good. Minimal parking, park as soon as you get in the driveway. The exit is bumpy and through the back dirt road, don't drive your sports car.”

“i have been going here for two years and it is the best thrift store in town. staff is very friendly and the store is always stocked with stuff for great prices. i stopped going to goodwill and started going here instead, it’s much better.”

“I'm not going to give them less than 5 stars but I do have a complaint. I didn't shop there but I went to drop off and after driving 11 miles the sign on their door says we are not taking donations at this time. Just wish the info was available to me before driving there. Lesson learned. I just moved here and tried to find a worthy thrift store to donate to instead of Goodwill or Salvation Army but alas I had to come all the way home and look up the address for another thrift store to donate to. Pretty frustrating.”

“Found a real cashmere scarf for $5. Pretty good find. Clothing was a little sparse the day I went and there seemed to be more for the 40+ crowd which is pretty typical for this area. Definitely worth stopping in because you never know what you might find. Staff was very kind and helpful. Will come by again in a few weeks!”

“There are two locations: 1221 North Orange Avenue - Corner of 12th Street & North Orange Avenue 1038 North Orange Avenue We went to both, and the main one is larger and had better selection especially for furniture & housewares. They seem to have several sales going on at various times, so ask if not sure on final price. Lots of furniture items that are in great shape for a reasonable price. The staff at the larger store was nice, but there seemed to be at least 3 people working, but maybe only 1 register, so I waited while the other two stood around/did other things. The staff at the smaller place across the street was super nice, more people working in the back than out front, but still helpful, more clothes than furniture there but still good prices on everything and sales posted in various places.”

“So easy to drive up & drop your things off. I’ve taken 3 carloads after a recent move. One time it was pouring rain so I was thankful for that overhang. They have great hours, too.”

“Keith, Brandon & Jace are a great asset to this team. I bought a 12 piece entertainment center and needed to run home to get a trailer and return by close. I arrived right at closing time and they said no worries and helped me load all the pieces carefully into the trailer and secure them. I appreciated their attitude and helpfulness. Thank you!”

“Larger and nicer than most other Goodwill stores. Clean and well managed. Four cashiers working this date, and a customer line. Courteous and friendly staff working the floor. Great selection of kitchenwares, clothes, toys, and home items.”

“Nice. Big. Good selection. In my top five... but goodness, on a Saturday you only have two registers running and there are two dozen folks in line?! Please, this is sadly very common... HIRE MORE CASHIERS!! More cashiers now, but a ton more people shopping, too.”

“This Goodwill location is huge, with an impressive selection of clothing. If you love thrifting, you’ll find plenty to browse through, but be sure to know your brands and retail prices before purchasing—some items are priced surprisingly high for secondhand goods. Short-sleeve tops are $5.99, and long-sleeve tops are $6.99, which can feel steep if the brand is a lower-end chain store.

That said, the store is clean, well-organized, and busy, with a friendly staff that keeps things running smoothly. If you’re patient and know what to look for, you might still find some great deals.”
