  Do not buy from land o lake marine. My husband went there for a mako boat. He wanted this boat. He did the credit app and got approved. He just had to come back in and sign the papers for the boat. They called him again to make sure my. Husband still wanted the boat and they people then SOLD the boat out from under my husband! People work at there credit to make sure they can get luxury items and these people don't care they will do all the steps hard credit hit then sell to someone else!!!! And before who ever comments back to my review not everyone uses the same lenders so now thanks to yall he had to have another hard hit on his credit and do the same thing over again! This Is not how you should run a business. BBB will be notified too!

  If you need to sell your Boat you can trust these guys. Kind of sucks these days but don’t trust anyone I gave them my boat they promise me $32,500. When they handed me the check it was $1000 plus more. Clearly it was just the way they did they didn’t say a word definitely honest businessman a highly recommend someone in your boat here.

  We bought a boat from here. We put a down payment on a Monday to hold the boat. Asked them to look through it thoroughly to see if it needed to be fixed in any way. We would pay for any mechanical work since they do work there on boats. We trusted them to look through this boat with the expectation that we would pay for any fixes to the boat. We were told only the springs on the trailer needed to be fixed. I called them every day to please do a thorough look through on the boat since we planned to take it out that Sunday for Mother’s Day. I wanted to even know the small things as well that were wrong to get everything fixed all at once. They said we were safe to go out but to bring it back the following week for the springs repair on the trailer. When we came back to give the final payment on that Friday and pick up the boat we saw the tires were dry rotted, one of the tires were leaking grease and asked for that to be added to the springs to the trailer quote. They didn’t catch that somehow but we did…. They mentioned they would not let us leave the lot unless the trailer is safe and legal to take in the road. So they let us leave. When we got home the left trailer break light was out. Luckily we knew how to fix that and did so ourselves and ended up not getting pulled over for a ticket. Once we got out in the water Sunday we got it into the water and had the shifter get stuck a few times. Thinking it was just a fluke we went to ride it out only a couple miles out since it was the first time taking it out we didn’t want to go too far. We went to a sandbar and when it was time to leave the shifter was completely stuck and we could not get it into neutral. We ended up having to get towed. Costing us $400. I called them Monday morning (keep in mind I have only had this boat a little over 48 hours and first time taking it out) to let them know how upset we were we had to be towed on our first time out when we trusted them to look thoroughly through the boat and only requested to have our tow reimbursed to us to make things right. They refused. I didn’t expect them to fix the boat since it was “as is”, what I expected what for them to be honest and truthful about the boats health. I would’ve paid for whatever it needed. And asked for their honest option of the boat was safe to take my family on it. It was certainly not ready to be taken out and we got stuck with our family and another family with children aboard who were all terrified of being stuck on our first outing. They are not honest and they are not trustworthy. They wanted that boat off their lot and put all of us in danger. And refuse to make things right by not reimbursing us the tow fee. They offered to fix it with no “profit” attached. We all know how that works and they would’ve added the profit within the charges. All I wanted was the fee reimbursed to make it right. I would not buy here or get your boat fixed here. Ever. Worst experience especially if you plan to have family on your boat.

  Selling a boat through Land O Lakes Marine is a great experience. It was smooth, effortless and at a reasonable cost. Dave is very professional. The facilities are spotless. It is a simple process. Bring in the boat. When sold, bring in the paperwork, and walk out with the cash. If ya gotta sell one in the Tampa Bay area, this is the place to go.
