Scammed ask if I could just pay prepaid for one month of 5g for my tablet guy said yes ended up being a a plan cost me $147 to cancel it in the end

I've had plenty of good and bad experiences with this place. More good than bad but I still feel like this review needs to be written.One time I was told I'm not able to upgrade my phone because my credit score wasn't high enough. HUH?? It was paid off and I didn't understand why this employee needed to run my credit. That was a hard credit check for no reason that pissed me off.I immediately went to another T-Mobile store and told them that and they laughed. I explained what store I was at and they said "it makes sense. we've heard things about them." Indicating there have been multiple angry customers from that store entering this one. Within 30 minutes I had a new phone, a nice discount and a 5 star experience. NO CREDIT CHECK.When it came time for an upgrade, I decided to give this place another chance. I've had no issues since that happened. I've been back 3 or 4 times since then over the last 2 years or so. I even got my parents to go to this location to upgrade because of how nice of an experience I had!Yesterday I came in needing a new phone case for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Not the 14 Pro or 14 Plus. Pro Max. After trying 3 different phone cases and being told "what do you expect from a $20 phone case" (I've used cases that are literally $1 that fit my phone just fine and last a year). I assumed it was some sort of upselling technique they were trying so that I would buy a more expensive case. I even gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought that it was the case manufacturer's problem. We tried another phone case from a different brand (I think) that was more expensive. Still didn't work. The guy immediately told me I needed to get my phone repaired at a local shop and that the battery could be expanding. My phone does get pretty hot sometimes so I believed him.I went to the repair shop today and explained to them what I was told. "My battery is expanding according to this store. We've tried 3 different cases and my phone just didn't fit." The guy looked at me confused and said "No. Your battery isn't expanding. I bet they were trying the wrong cases." Surely they weren't right?!No way they got hired at a phone store and can't tell the difference between phones. Sure enough, they must've been trying cases for the iPhone 14 Pro/Plus instead of the 14 Pro Max. The guy snapped on a $25 phone case and I was out the door within 5 minutes!!I don't know how you can mess this up. He even verified the phone model I have. "14 Pro Max?" It could've been an honest mistake but if you work at a phone store, I would hope you know the difference. Maybe they were hoping I would come back in, pay off my phone and upgrade to a 15 Pro Max. Who knows. I don't want to switch carriers or drive farther to a different store. Like I said, I have had some great experiences here. It might be time for me to leave T-Mobile though. I don't want another bad experience.I hope when somebody reads this, they proceed with caution. Most of the people I've interacted with there are very funny and friendly. Some seem like they shouldn't be in sales. That's all I'll say on that. Your experience could be very smooth or very frustrating. It's 50/50 with this store.

Absolutely terrible service, the people there don’t know what they are doing & like to push their work off to other locations. After coming in 2 weeks ago switching from Verizon to T-Mobile they told me that there was a problem with the E sim transfer and to come back in 24 hours… after sitting there for 4 hours with no change. It was quote on quote a “national issue” after coming back the next day I was given an attitude and was told they would call me when it was fixed. It’s been 2 weeks and they haven’t given me that “call”. After going to another location today, they were able to turn my phone on within not even 2 minutes & took notice to exactly who I’m talking about. If you have ANY issues with your phone or even just wanting to transfer services I would suggest to never come to this location. Very lousy management. HR should really evaluate who they have working for them. Seems like a kindergarten class.

This is the best store in Tampa Bay. The people that work there are super nice and knowledgeable. The store manager is awesome ( Rob Califano ) and makes sure all customers are taken care of in a timely manner. I would give them a 10 stars if I could!

A serious joke. The manager factory reset my phone. Realizing that i had to recieve a text to re activate my phone told me the thousand dollar plus phine i had just paid off was a paperweight. Called t mobile help, they could not figure it out either. Finally figured it it myself. Leaving t mobile for straight talk. At least i save over a grand a year if i have no support. Smh stay away from this store at all costs.

Went there back in March to upgrade my phone. As other reviews signed me up for the protection plan without my acknowledgment. Also I had a free phone line with my plan. I specially asked if upgrading my phone would change that plan. They said no, then come to find out it removed my free line so now paying over $30 more a month. I even talked with corporate and they won't compensate us either for the dirty business practice. If I could give zero stars I would. As a former Sprint customer, extremely frustrated with the Tmobile takeover.

The service isn’t that great or maybe it’s just my iPhone. As it heats up hotter and quicker then a hot plate! But the employees are great and they’re helpful. I only gave 3 stars bcuz they have such a long wait time! And the service isn’t as good as my previous carrier (VZ)

I went there and bought a new phone for one of my lines (paid cash, no monthly installments). Without telling me, the salesman signed me up for a $9/month phone insurance I did not ask for and never would've agreed to. I didn't find out until I got my bill. Absolutely dirty business practice.

Rob your amazing man I highly recommend this store Rob the manager helped me get access back to a phone that I haven’t had access to in a few months I had the slimmest chance of having T-Mobile Senior leadership turning it back on temporarily so I could get access back to my bank accounts social media photos and other important voicemails and information.Once it was turned back on I had only a small window to get a number transfer pin having the phone been lost for months I had no access to the number anymore and Rob called support and got everything fixed for me I was out within 30 minutes flat and I’m so grateful to everything he did so so glad I could get the number ported out successfully. You rock man I will make sure that corporate gives you some major positive recognition for giving me Amazing service today.
