Definitely a neighborhood craft/green market over a farmers market. The only fresh produce is mostly products with the same stickers on it that your local grocery has. They do look a bit fresher but nothing unique and the prices are grocery store prices. The other booths are cute but very much craft oriented. On this visit which is similar to my other 3 recent visits had a straw hat booth, shell wind chimes, table cloth skirts, soaps and 2 jewelry tents. They are all very nice and the park where they set up is nice and shaded. Good place to shop and either bring a picnic lunch or pick up a lunch from the Country Kitchen. They have lots of cool jams and jellies as well as fresh soup and skillet meals. The other option is the Brunch Buffet under the pavillion. The price seems to fluctuate between $12 -$15 depending on what is being served and if it is a true AYCE buffet. The best buffet I have had so far was the waffles and charcuterie board with a wonderful display of fresh fruits. The hours are from 10-2. I have always showed up between 10 and 10:30 and never had a problem finding free street parallel parking. There is a paid lot across the street. The whole market experience takes less than an hour to enjoy so making it part of your Sunday plans is a great idea. The vendors are nice and eager to accept your business. I believe in shopping small business whenever possible to support the local community eventhough it seems that very few vendors here are actually from Lantana but more likely from Palm Beach County.

Lantana Green Market held their grand opening on November 10 from 10 to 2 at Lantana Bicentennial Park. It is important to note that there is no free parking. You must pay $1.50 at the kiosk and note your space number before walking over. Although the spot is beautiful on the water at the base of the bridge, this is a very small market. I think I counted 14 vendors total but I came closer to the end time so there may have been more earlier. There was only one produce vendor set up in the gazebo. Other vendors included a food truck, a crepe place, shell items, a tent with hand made items and purses, hats, clothes, and jewelry. I would not go out of my way to visit this market but this is a really great area. It is next to a boat launch and the Old Key Lime House is across the street. The weather could not have been more beautiful. There is so many of this type of outdoor market this time of year that there is a lot of competition. It is easier for the larger ones to stand out.
