“Been here a couple times for different things for my dogs. I overall think the staff is friendly and the doctors are compassionate. However, I believe they need to train their receptionists better. They booked an appt for the wrong pet and also called me about missing an appt I had already canceled… please communicate better up front and be more consistent. Also, I had asked several times for the bloodwork results to be emailed for my dog and wasn’t able to get them until I physically went in there for another appt.”

“Have a 4 month old puppy that was lethargic and not eating. The office squeezed me in as a new patient the end of the day. Dr Burns examined my pup and treated her immediately. I took her home later that evening and returned the following morning. She did the necessary tests treated with antibiotics and fluids kept my dog there for the day to monitor her. I picked her up and took her home. Dr Burns personally called me each day after to make sure my puppy was getting better. The staff called me to see if I could just stop by so they could do a quick check on her. This is the only vet that I have been to in the past 50 years of having a dog that cared enough to call and make sure my dog improved. She did not do unnecessary tests to run up my bill. My puppy is doing better thanks to Dr Burns and her caring staff.”

“Hands down, one of the greatest veterinarian experiences. I wanted to find a new vet for my Russian Tortoise as we are new to the area. Given how challenging finding a good quality and affordable vet is nowadays, I was extremely hesitant to try one I simply found on the Internet. Lo and behold, I came across Dr. Rolfe and her team at the Bird & Exotic Hospital off Lake Worth Road. Finding the office was made easy thanks to their ability to text you the location, as well as a detailed list of what they would like for you to bring in. I also received a first-time patient survey that provided them with basic information about my tortoise. When I arrived, I found ample parking in a rather large and spacious parking lot. I strolled into a very well-maintained and modern clinic. I was given a warm greeting by one of the front desk staff. They provided me with visitation details and directed me to their comfortable waiting room, filled with plenty of chairs and reading material. I waited no more than five minutes before we were called in. The nurse was extremely polite and outgoing. She took a detailed history as well as answered any basic questions I had. Immediately after, Dr. Rolfey came in and saw my tortoise. Similar to her staff, she was kind and respectful. She took the time to answer my questions and was very funny! It was very welcoming here. I felt like they were talking with me, not at me. They provided me with the costs of every service and product they offered, with no pressure to do anything, while suggesting their honest opinion if I should or should not do something for my tortoise. Before I departed, they gave me a list of suggestions as well as my bill. Paying was very easy too. I cannot believe how well I was treated here. I frankly wish my personal primary care doctor took as much time as the staff of Bird & Exotic Hospital did to thoroughly answer all my questions and provide guidance.”

I am in there almost every week with my 10 yr old lab since we became a new patient only a few months ago, and even when I’m in tears, or frustrated the staff and Dr. Ramanathan continue to amaze me. The Dr. is very knowledgeable, very level headed and realistic with my dogs age and the type of illness even though I might be having a hard time with accepting it and understanding plus juggling work and all other things in life with an aging fur baby. I lost my ferret Tariq too during this time and they were waiting and willing to assist me in the final days even though he wasn’t a patient of theirs.Jessica at the front desk is so kind, understanding and follows up and never waivers from her true kind and authentic personality. The tech and the nurse as well all are unbelievable. They aren’t telling you what you want to hear, the Dr truly knows what’s best and he is very matter of fact when he needs to be as we try to figure out how to help Jessie and I appreciate that the most. they aren’t looking to charge the most money; they are truly there for our pets. I’m not the easiest client at times and I know that, so I really want to extend my heartfelt thank you for putting up with me at times but always giving Jessie the best possible care. There’s a reason why they came so highly recommended.”

“Yesterday I took one of my Community Cats (meaning they are outside my home, I feed and care for them and they are spayed/neutered) to the "Animal Eye Specialty Clinic". My neutered male, Shadow, got in a fight and his right eye was swollen, weeping, and mostly closed . Luckily I was able to get him in a Vet Carrier. When I got there the front desk staff took me right in to the exam room. I was allowed to stay there during the exam. Dr. Schechtmann was so thorough and kind, reassured me that he had sight in that eye and he would be alright. Gave him a shot of antibiotics, an anti inflammatory and a salve to be applied to the eye post exam. The staff demonstrated efficiency , knowledge, kindness. Any furrparent can go the clinic with confidence that their pet will be treated with the same care that was experienced by me.”
