I finally left Banfield Largo. I used to love them, but as vets left, I had horrible success there. I called one morning because my dog woke up and couldn't walk, her back legs wouldn't work and she appeared to not be able to see. I feared she had a stroke or something. When I called, they told me they were too busy and couldn't see her. I understand emergencies happen, but the lady was terribly rude in a time of crisis.

Always friendly and listen to my questions or concerns. Usually responsive to any concerns and dr calls me personally which I appreciate in case I think of a question after I leave.

Dr. Schimmel squeezed me in (Thanks to Carrie too.) on her surgery day to see my 3 y.o. female Siberian Husky, who was having a very serious issue. Dr. Schimmel eased my anxiety & did not minimize my concerns. My daughter & I left the facility being able to breathe 'cause our precious pet was going to be okay. Thank you Dr. Schimmel & Carrie.

Never been to such horrid place made an appt only to be told the vet will be over an hour for lunch car not even seen finally get to the room was told I need to drop him off or reschedule as vet would be busy after lunch too even though had appt. Also completely staff unknowleegable about the breed nothing. Never again left waste of time and overall horrid place

Wanted to start off stating that the receptionist Kerry and technician Rebecca were phenomenal from start to finish for this appointment but the manager Dawn was horrific. Not only was she rude to myself but she was even more rude to her own staff in front of multiple other clients for just asking a question during my checkout process. Kerry ran after me as I was walking out and apologized for Dawn's actions and the fact that I had to witness that. Will never be going back.

Great bunch of people. Nikki has been going there for a few years. Never had a problem. Think we are more of a problem for them since we are truck drivers and cannot make the appointments as they need. They always work with us.

Made an appointment and it was confirmed online for a quick anal gland express. Got there and there was no appointment and no attempt to even get me in quick. Short handed excuse as well.

Not impressed. After waiting 2 hours in store we were told they couldn’t see us due to other dogs emergencies. That is acceptable so they rescheduled us. Our concern came when we came back. Vet exam was checked heart only. No temperature, ears, or…. Things a typical vet does were not done!! Then she refused give her the rabies vaccine as she said she was too young, but the first appointment we had the vets were perfectly on agreement to give it to our puppy. So we totally wasted 2 days of going there for nothing
We felt vet just wanted our money and kick us out quickly to see another patient

We have been with Banfield for about 14 years. Wouldn't go anywhere else and I truly appreciate the payment plan that spreads the cost over the year.

The whole staff is great and take there time to talk and explain everything to me and answer my questions they care so much about animals and took great care of scout that had trauma from a previous vet. 5 stars ain’t enough for a rating

They called and canceled our appointment an hour before.
This place has not been competent during the entire scheduling process.
Would not recommend.

I’ve been coming to this location for years and recently the last year they started to not care anymore. I order nail trims & they say it’s done over the phone then when I get there they say “he wouldn’t let them”. (He’s a sweet dog, not aggressive)
Then I took my dog to the Clearwater location 10 days later and found he has degenerative disc disease and his prostate is enlarged, which they didn’t even try to figure out at the largo location. Don’t go to this one if you care about your animals. They keep them for 6 hours & can’t do the proper treatment or diagnosis. Planning on canceling my plan bc of this location.

Update: I already writed to the email before they writed me this answer that mean there is just an automatic answer and they did not even look on my profile. Please read !!!! what happened to me so you can prevent it from happening to you. I went to Bandfield Hospital just once, just 4 days ago, and the care was very good, although the wait is quite long. At the beginning, I marked on a document the services I wanted and before seeing the doctor, they informed me that the charge would be 150. Once I returned for my puppy, the doctor showed me the document again asking me if I wanted an ear cleaning or a nail clipping and something for fleas. I only agreed to the preventative medication for fleas, so the charge increased to 170 in total. Then she told me that I had to come back in 15 days and that the payment would be approximately the same. They charge only for the visit, 74 usd. Then she presented me with a medical plan that includes a surgery to prevent my puppy from getting pregnant and the preventative medications for 90 usd a month. I had 4 days to cancel without any cancellation fee. for applying to the plan the payment for that day instead of 170 was 180 that I paid in cash that day, on a tablet at the checkout they tell you to electronically sign something that seemed to be the receipt and then after they charge you everything they ask you if you want the printed documents to which I agreed, they gave me several documents, I emphasize after having charged me and signed the tablet with the information they gave me verbally. Once I left there a friend recommended a clinic that is close to my house and the wait times are shorter also it is not mandatory to leave the puppy alone and you can be with him all the time plus I decided to go to this new clinic and therefore the plan is no good to me. I thought it would not be a problem because I have 4 days to cancel and my payment for that day was going to be 10 dollars less than what I ended up paying with the plan. When I called to cancel, in addition to a 40-minute wait on the phone, they told me that I had to pay $200 to cancel because they did more tests that day without telling me that they had an additional cost and without telling me what tests they were doing. I asked the hospital manager to please check the cameras so that she could see that everything I said was true and confirm what happened and the answer was that they don't have cameras and that they had my signature, a signature that I could sign on a tablet without reading anything and that I thought was just the receipt. Therefore, they give you false information and it seems illogical to me to have to pay a total of almost $400 please, it's practically a scam. The truth is I'm desperate and it seems unbelievable that they can trick someone into selling a plan with false information and then want to charge so much money for supposed tests that they did without informing me of anything.Now i just called the phone number they provided for inquires and i was really worry becase today is my last day to cancell with no fee so i called and request to they put a note on my file because i am waiting on the hospital answer and they said the hospital has 3 to 5 days to answer and she can no put any notes on my file to proof that i was requesting the cancelation in my 4 days so they wanted to used the time i am waiting on the hospital answer to also charge the cancelation fee. Everything here is a scam please stay away this is really sad
