I ordered a wheelchair. A guy came out and I inquired about a powered chair. He stated that Custom Mobility didn't sell those anymore. He took measurements for a manual chair. I asked for a red color for the frame. He said that Medicare wouldn't cover the cost. After a couple of months he brought the chair. It didn't fit. I needed adjustments. He stated that I was just onery. He left with the chair. A couple of days later I received a letter stating that I needed to take my business elsewhere because I had abused the staff I never received the chair. I had been doing business with Custom Mobility for over 20 years but something has changed about the way they conduct business.

After years of traveling to Lucerne to attend wheelchair evaluation appointments, I finally realized I was never the client. Lucerne was. I need a wheelchair for mobility and cannot afford to drive. For me to attend these appointments, I have to get someone else to take me. This involves my mother (who is a teacher) taking off work to drive about 40 miles just to have a conversation with a physical therapist. From there they take measurements and what not. Nothing about this process is unique to being at a certain building. I have nothing against the actual people, but having to go to them is unrealistic given my circumstance. There are so many physical therapy facilities around my area and I know of one on the bus route. I was content with the idea of traveling there independently using public transit, but when I asked if equally qualified physical therapists at that facility could do it, the response was “we go through Lucerne”. It was that moment I realized Custom Mobility didn’t really serve me, they served me to Lurcene. I found a different company that will come to me and I’m happier knowing my family doesn’t have to take a loss in a paycheck just to be used to serve another company. Their name is 6th Street Mobility and they will come to you. They have a lot of mobility equipment to provide, not just wheelchairs. And yes, they take medicaid.

It is expensive to rent a car from here, but unfortunately there are not many alternatives if you need a car for the physically disabled with an electric wheelchair user

This company ordered me a wheelchair that was completely unusable to me and it took 1 year to receive a stock chair that I have never been able to function in.I am paralyzed and completely dependent on a wheelchair to my specific measurements.Another year later they brought out another chair just as unusable to me. 2 months later I call to ask about the status of the changes that were necessary and was informed by the receptionist they cancelled my order.The worst experience I’ve ever had and I have been getting a new chair every 3 years for the last 34 years of my life.

they reached out to be personally about some issues I had with them, so I changed my review, they made it clear that they had some parts waiting to come in for my son’s wheelchair & that is what was taking so long,, I would recommend this place but just be patient that they may not be able to help you right away, I went in on Friday & they saw me right away so 5 stars

Brought in a wheelchair for repair. Figured I'd drop it and they'd call when finished. He said to hang out and have a free coffee. I opted to wait in the car as I had a patient with me. Not even 5 minutes later he was bringing the chair to the truck. Thanks for your help!

Long overdue review. I have been using Custom mobility for many years. They are my goto shop whenever I need repairs on my wheelchair lift. They respond quickly to calls or email. There service is always great.

I called over a month ago and they said a ticket was put in for my husbands wheelchair repair… I tried several times to confirm the repair and each time the person named Greg said he couldn’t find the ticket. Now he wants to put in a new ticket and still will not verify that it will actually go through. It’s been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t even give them one star if I could do that.

Custom Mobility is the only company that I trust with my vehicle that allows me to drive as a disabled man. I've driven for 48 years now and have learned who is trustworthy and who is not.

Call a different company. Don't waste your time here.Edit: Changing my review to 2 star because they called me back to tell me about how my Doctor wouldn't answer the phone. Ok that's fine but this all started almost 2 months ago. I called them because I got my chair from them. I had a flat tire and they were old anyway so I wanted to get new tires. I tried to change them to some new tires I had here but I think they're the wrong size or I'm weak.I was told they were out of stock or something and they'd call me back. Almost 3 weeks later I called them back to ask if they forgot about me. They returned the phone call and said they didn't forget it would be another week or so. A week later they call me back and gave me a quote and didn't realize I was already a customer and had insurance so he said ok I'll call back in a week. 2 weeks go by and I leave this review. Get a call the next day about how it's my Doctor fault. I would have paid out of pocket anyway if they were affordable. Trying to sell me tires $20 higher than an another site too not including shipping.This place has been around for a long time. Very disappointed. Maybe it's the system or something but if it was my company I would have a script to find out all the info it took these guys a month to figure out. Even if we had the same outcome as today it would have been a month ago and I would have had 2 new tires from somewhere else by now.
