Just wanted the caring young lady(s), to know TAZZ had a wonderful first night. And time of her life since leaving the shelter. She is slowing taking over the couch lol, after a vigorous morning, afternoon and evening runs. She had a "duck" stuffie best friend and doing great.

We got our 2 cats here. After 15 years, we had to unfortunately return. But the experience and staff were very understanding and comforting considering why we had to return. It is a wonderful place that provides a wonderful experience no matter what you are there for. Thank you for making a difficult time in our life as pleasant as possible

From JAN -DEC 2023...851 DOGS were owner surrendered to the SPCA TAMPA BAY..810 of those DOGS were evaluated as...UNADOPTABLE AND IMMEDIATELY EUTHANIZED... THEN the shelter EUTHANIZED 387 more dogs that same YEAR... thats 1,197 total...EUTHANIZED in just 1 year...???JAN-TILL NOV 20237,870 ANIMALS CAME INTO SPCA TAMPA BAY.. 3,660 NEVER MADE IT OUT ALIVE..?????✝️NOW DO YOU UNDERSTAND???The SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/ and MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD stayed in partnership even after given 100% proof that Sunshine Puppies and Pinnacle Pet were very well known notorious puppy mill dog sellers and distributors. They knowingly used desperately needed large amounts of shelter funds to investigate travel and research this partnership and even after massive amounts of animal advocates worldwide and locally denounced them working with Sunshine Puppies and Pinnacle Pet they continued helping them prosper by the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO taking adult dogs too old/ill/damaged to be bred any longer so that the PINNACLE PET 200+ mid west breeders they work with can have space for younger dogs that can be bred repeatedly and make them more money as well as the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO taking in the rejectedpuppies that the breeders produced but Sunshine Puppies cant sell in their stores because of hereditary defects/medical issues/etc..The SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/and MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY BOARD also agreed to use their vet staff and shelter resources on the puppies they can sell at Sunshine Puppies for an undisclosed price...This puppy mill affiliation is just a catalyst to bring to the publics attention what the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD has been doing for several years. They are euthanizing @50 of every single dog that is in their care. They are on state records claiming that 90+ people have requested euthanizia for their dogs/cats.. in Sept 2023 .. within only 30 days...either Pinellas County and surrounding areas have an absurd amount of absolutely cruel and uncaring dog/cat owners or SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD are not beings honest in the state of Florida records (I attached the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO shelter Sept 2023 records with this email)The SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO and MARTHA BODEN as CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD are KILLING the animals they have to make space for the ones they wantThis is not sheltering this is wrong and been happening since Martha Boden was hired as CEO.with the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD supporting and allowing this as well..Would you bring YOUR beloved pet/pets to the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO now? After reading these statistics would YOU Recommend this shelter to ANY owners who love their pets but unfortunately need to surrender them?If even 1 of the answers was .NO.. .. Then help us remove all those who are responsible for this shelters reputation downfall and ALL the innocent lives That SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD took without remorse or regrets and will continue to be taken in unbelievable numbers until the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD..are taken out of animal welfare positions. Will you help Florida advocates by going publicly and writing a statement against the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/and MARTHA BODEN CEO as well as the SPCA TAMPA BAY BOARD for partnering with and bringing in out of state puppy mill dogs that Sunshine puppies sells and Pinnacle Pet brokers? Will you help make the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO shelter a true shelter as it was before MARTHA BODEN was hired as CEO not just a building where the animals come to die and will YOU try to help repair the broken trust of FLORIDA animal advocates/FLORIDA pet owners as well as those worldwide? We can not stop the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO/MARTHA BODEN CEO and the SPCA TAMPA BAY LARGO BOARD from doing what they have been getting away with for over 10+ years .....PLEASE STOP SUPPORTING THEM

Love this place so much! I volunteer here every Friday and am always amazed by the care and love all of the staff show toward the animals. Despite often having close to 100 dogs on any given day, when I'm out walking them, the staff always know each one by name. I have no idea how they do it!Please consider adopting an animal from SPCA Tampa Bay. You will be getting someone who has been in the best care and received all their wellness care. These animals are so full of love. Also, consider volunteering here! They always need more volunteers. It's the best part of my week, and if you choose to walk dogs, you're giving an animal the best 10 minutes of their day. What an amazing gift.

Very sad to see this organization asking $600 and even $1000 for some of their rescue dogs. I have adopted from them in the past and always could afford SPCA or Humane Society adoption fees. To my horror the dog that was begging to come home with me, they put a price tag of $600 on, a full grown dog. Its been in a cage for over 2 weeks, it could have had a loving permanent home and now has to wait longer because it was priced above the other dogs. That is not prevention of cruelty. You can go out and buy a purebredpuppy for that price or less. They are making it harder for people trying to do the right thing and try to adopt from a shelter first. Very disappointed.

It's run well but with too many rules and fees. They are a 501c3. The mission of an SPCA is to find them proper homes asap. Correct?

If you find an injured animal, this is the place to bring it! The caring staff, Lanie and Drew were so kind and attentive. Also, a great place to find a new forever friend! Stop in and say "Hi!"
