I went first time to that location yesterday ( 221Commercial Blvd)and I was treated as criminal. We have checking and saving accounts in this bank for at least two years ( now we are thinking to transfer to some other bank completely)and My experience has been very positive,but we always use diffrent location more close to my home in Fort Lauderdale. Yesterday,I visied my mom, so it was making sense to withdrawal money from the bank that is close to her and by the way…Let me tell you experience that I had…never before and never after…Im never going back to that bank221 Commercial Blvd,Lauderdale by the SeaI was asked to present my drivers license and bank card, which I didand then interegation started that lasted almost 20 min.It was clear that women who assisted me didnt want to give me my moneyand she told me that:” it is for your good”!Please be aware of that bank, that location and these people.

This location was a much more genuine banking experience before the Truist acquisition. When it was SunTrust bank, the service felt more like a neighborhood bank where people recognized you, and asked about your kids, and how the business they knew you just started was performing. The clear diversity first agenda is truly affecting service. Who cares what color you are if you can’t thank a customer for their business and at least pretend they are valued? This has consistently been my experience since the acquisition. I am absolutely taking my business checking elsewhere as soon as it is conveniently possible as well as my safe deposit box.

This company closed my account 3 months ago and have given me no reason why. They refuse to release the funds that were in the account, and will only tell me they are on indefinite hold. Noone will answer anything. I have been forced to file a lawsuit! Craziest thing I have ever experienced!

Mercy Allen does a great job at this branch - very thorough! You would think she was the manager - she handles everything from soup to nuts. My only complaint is that she is over-worked. The branch seems understaffed . . . the manager is either in the back room, off-site, busy with someone, or simply doesn't come out of the office. Usual wait time is 30+ minutes.

My experience at Suntrust is equivalent to that of the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Before I even step foot into this location I have to mentally prepare myself to deal with someone that doesn't want to do anything I come in there to do. Two years ago I tried opening business accounts. The grouchy sales woman there grilled and questioned me. Asking me how I will operate my business as if she was the expert in the profession and would have to approve first. After she made me feel like I shouldn't even move forward with starting my business she had me go to another branch to see if they could assist. That branch on E Oakland Park which is closed now sucked as well and never got back to me. I have a personal account with Suntrust which is way I wanted to open the biz account under same bank. Ended up going with PNC for business accounts.

I said I did take a look. No she wanted me to sign next to my already signature. Then she came back and asked for my phone number... then came back and asked what my last credit amount was.. then came back and asked if I did anything weird in the past 10 days. Do you want some DNA with that? I really despise this bank and do not recommend them for their poor customer service at branch locations. I don't care if I have a dollar in my account, come in the bank in my bathrobe or a suit and tie. Treat your customers with some respect. Put some respek my name when you call me after I close my accounts with your sorry @**es...

I only go to this subtrust now! Their staff is so sweet and helpful super friendly from the teller to the wealth manager there. I always get in and out of there quickly and they always offer more information and ways to help me with things i may not have thought about!
