Unethical business. I ordered 6 quesos de mano; deal was 6 minimum at $13.75; still there on the website as of now. A day after I ordered, Carlo called me and said I shouldn't have been able to place that order due to system error and he decided to send me just 5. I emailed, texted, customer contacted same day, responding that if my order wasn't going to be honored, then I just wanted 3 because the reason I ordered 6 was the price deal for 6, $13.75 vs $15.99. I also asked Carlo to fix the charge he already made to my credit card (without processing/shipping), but he reassured me I will get my initial order. Surprise! 11 days later, I got 5, and ended up paying more than the 5 at a marked-up price if I would have wanted to order 5 in the first place.

We ordered our hallacas on Thursday DECEMBER 22 at 2:25pm. We chose the overnight express priority delivery. DECEMBER 23 we had yet to receive an email with a tracking number. I sent an email requesting it and got sent a tracking number without any information about the delivery company. The delivery was sent December 23 at 8:25am. We were expecting the package overnight but it didn’t come. FedEx policy is they don’t deliver overnight Friday and so we were to receive it on Monday. Monday the 26th came and went and no package. At this point the 2-3 day max guaranteed from Hallaca Factory had passed. The delivery standards of FedEx had lapsed as well. Neither FedEx nor Hallaca Factory answered for the package of food that had now been at a warehouse for 4 days. We emailed again and there was a rude exchange of emails stating that Hallaca Factory was not a delivery company. You aren’t FedEx, but as an exclusively online business you give no choice to customers for pick up at a location hence you are 100% dependent on delivery companies which puts you in the position of being a delivery service. The package ended arriving on the 28th after we had left the house we had rented for the week. The owner of the house had cleaners come by and called us to let us know it had arrived and that they could hold it for us and we could come by and pick it up. Truly the only glimpse of excellent customer service we saw in this whole debacle of a Christmas Diner order. The Hallacas were finally eaten, and they needed salt

I'm very disappointed with their customer service. I ordered some food and was charged for Overnight Priority Shipping but they ended up shipping the items a slower way. So the items arrived 7 days later. The food arrived no longer cold, so everything went into the trash. They have sent me a couple of emails, still not addressing the reason they choose to ship the package a different way that I had requested. And charged for. It's like a con job, pay for premium service and get subpar service. Not even offering to refund the extra money they charged me.

I loved my hallacas so much I had to rush them on my second order. And now I want to get a third order. If that doesn’t say that they are delicious then I don’t know what to tell you. I loved them so much! And my family did as well. Thank you Hallaca Factory Family!

The selection is incredible as they carry many imported cheeses, hallacas, and other Venezuelan specialties. The hallacas are INCREDIBLE AND TASTY. The cheeses are always fresh and come in jumbo sizes. The pricing is very fair on all products and shipping charges are reasonable. The golpeados were dry and tasteless. I threw them away. The cheeses I bought were nothing like I remember eating in Venezuela.

Ordered a variety of items from here and have a mixed review. One of the items we ordered was Queso De Mano. They informed us 2 days after shipping that they were sold out of the cheese we wanted and put something similar in the package without asking if we wanted the new cheese or to nix it altogether. While the new cheese was similar to the old one we still asked for a refund (for the cheese only) since it technically wasn't what we asked for, however, they denied it. Also, I emailed them with some questions in the beginning and their response was, "all is good." I do believe they try their best to make the customer happy but there is definitely some room for improvement. Also, the tequenos are very small for what you pay. Each one is about the size of your thumb. All of the food, however, was delicious. It is authentic and fulfills the need for something you can't get just anywhere. All in all, I do recommend ordering from here.
