I am not a customer of Insight Credit Union but I am reviewing them for my elderly mother who is. A few weeks ago, my mother was the victim of an online romance scam. I found out about it after it was so late and she already mailed the criminals over $22,000 in cash which she withdrew from her retirement. I asked her which bank gave her that much cash without drawing suspicion. She said she went to her credit union, Insight, and they refused to cash it and told her it was a scam. A predatory check cashing business allowed her to cash the check for a $1000 fee with no questions asked. I am so sad my mother lost this money but I'm grateful that Insight looks out for the elderly, unlike Prudential Annuities and Amscot Check Cashing. Great job, Insight!

The staff tries, but they are limited as to what they can do. Everyone is referred to banking online and their site really does not work even half the time. Compared to other credit unions I have done business with, these guys are at the bottom. Choose a different one, there are others that are much better.

Shame on you for being closed days after a hurricane. There is almost no damage in this area. You are just using it as an excuse. People need banking help now more than ever, thanks for being unavailable. Did you really need to shut down the help line as well? I'm calling the governor, I really hope this can be found to be criminal. Everything else is open for business but you are saving millions by not allowing people access to their own money in a time of need.

I visit the Leesburg location to research a transaction regarding my checking account. The staff looked as if it was time to close not very attentive. I had to ask if I had to sign in to get service . Following that lack of customer service someone can from behind the front counter to help. Although I tried to explain my situation she was very unfriendly and to my surprise very rude. She wouldn’t even let me tell her my first name before telling me she couldn’t help me. She didn’t even look up my account I also had a copy of the transaction that she didn’t care to see. I told her my wife also worked in banking to light up the negative energy in the air. She wanted to let me know that my wife couldn’t help me .I asked for her name and corporate number. She was proud to say I’m the branch manager. I was like wow I probably wouldn’t remembered her name but thanks for putting a tag on it. Would have probably rated a zero but no option. Needless to say after almost twenty years will be looking to do business elsewhere in the future.

need help very severely at your drivethru.i could not believe what I saw in the drivethru.i went there 4:30got to window at about 5. Why was there only one teller waiting on all lines. Banks usually put up tape behind cars ALREADY THERE before closing,but these cars that were there for half hour,a bank employee came out and told them they had to leave.VERY TACTLESS AND UNPROFESSION AL. What if somebody was out of gas and had no moneyOPEN THEM DAMN LOBBIES BACK UP

Well wow is all I can say. my daughter and I came to the bank to deposit more then I felt comfortable sending through a drive through and the line was out to the road. We rang the bell and were greeted with a very irritated older lady who told us app only and shut the door while I was still talking. By the 3 stars review i see other ppl have issues also. Instead of depositing money i will withdraw all my money and leave 5 bucks in it so it has the bare minimum to stay open and find another bank that can be more polite and hospitable.Thankyou. Spoke with a Nicole customer service had very nasty attitude and i called her out on it . I called just about 4:58pm. Made me want to pull my money out there bank. Get better people in that place that like their job. She was very unprofessional with me on the phone. Nasty Attitude just Nasty Attitude.

Any purchases over 250 they automatically lock your card. Any online purchases they lock your card. Any late night purchases they lock your card. Worst bank out there.

My family and I have had accounts at Insight for 27 years. We loved them for years until they updated their system in 2019. They ruined their online banking and made so non user friendly that my Mother-in-law cannot even tell which account is what anymore even after I explained it multiple times. When they made these changes their lobby had people sitting in every available space on their floors from open to close for an entire week. Our entire family went from loving to dreading the new online experience with this CU and 6mos later after they switched their own employees admit there are tons of bugs yet to work out. I feel like its in it beta stages, yet I am trusting them with my money. Time to move on.

This place sucks since all the great updates they have made
