I just moved my family to Florida from WI and wanted a local bank. It was the closest to where I'm living, but also I loved the historical building. The people are wonderful, and the process was fast! The bank manager is a very friendly man who helped me get the ball rolling, so I can also obtain my Florida DL. May the Lord bless this place and all of its employees!

Sherri Ellis helped me report a stolen card. What is a shame is that I reported it back on Saturday through their 1800 number and their 3rd party service not taking the correct information from me and finding out no report was recorded days ago. I am really getting tired of hearing how the banks I use hire 3rd party services that don't do their job correctly. It's getting tiresome. Thank you

I work for a company that uses this bank for their banking needs. I usually came in every Friday to cash my check and everybody is so friendly! I eventually came on my lunch break one day and Jennifer Ryan (as well as the nice woman teller) greeted me with a smile. I told her I had an hour for my lunch and she opened my account within that time. Great bank and full of helping information on any questions I had. Highly recommend.

If you want some really down home gossip and bank managers and tellers to report you to the Florida Department of Children and Families constantly, then you might want to bank with United Southern Bank. These ladies including the bank manager Jennifer pride themselves at being nosy and interfering with your daily lives. Never mind all the NSF fees they like to slap on. My father and I have banked with them for over 20 years; more so my father. And in his final days this bank wanted to close the account numerous times, created freezes on our debit cards, and tried several times to have me arrested through DCF investigations. They had it out for me. Possibly due to my sexual orientation or that they somehow knew I voted for Hillary. In a nut shell, everything I mentioned has really nothing to do with banking. And here's the catch: my father passed away back in April and it took them only 8 months to Google my father's name and find out about his death. Poor wretched things closed the account finally with a negative balance in the account. I was about to make a deposit and make the account back into the positive state, but, alas, the final blow was their own undoing. They maybe happy to be rid of me, but quite unhappy to close my father's checking account when it was in the negative. Let's recap. The phone call with Jennifer was unmistakably heartless and her condolences dripping with insincerity. But I have the last laugh. I was ONLY Power of Attorney. They can't come after me for an account in arrears. So maybe I shouldn't give them one star. Maybe I should look so down on them because they'll be eating a huge chunk of debt. Maybe I should say, "Thanks!" to these nosy hens for their own gossip was their own undoing!

A true down home bank where everyone knows your name. Customer service is always exceptional. THE BEST banking experience. I work downtown and everyone at our shop has switched to USB because of their reputation among customers. You wont be disappointed
