⚠️ Warning: Joe Parker at Apex Lasers does not fully refurbish his hand pieces.
I purchased a refurbished Alma Soprano ICE handpiece from Apex Lasers for $6,500, and it immediately developed issues. Joe admitted that during his so-called “refurbishing,” they only replace the diodes, leaving critical components like the shell and tubing untouched.
Because he’s based in Florida and I needed the handpiece urgently, I had a local company inspect it. They confirmed it needed a new shell and tubing — basic parts that should have been replaced during any legitimate refurbishment.
For such an expensive purchase, Joe’s response was to brush it off and refuse responsibility.
I want to warn others: Joe Parker is not honest about what “refurbished” means. Don’t risk buying parts from him — he doesn’t replace or check everything, and he won’t stand behind what he sells.

I own a small med spa, my Cynosure Icon had several handles go down at the same time and it was very hard on my business. Apex Laser was able to get my pieces fixed e we quickly and quickly reasonably. He suggested that it was actually the body of my laser that had issues and recommended a technician who could come out quickly to help. I am beyond happy with the service.

I had a great experience buying a laser here and Joe was so helpful and professional, had a problem with a laser part and they fixed it right away . I will buy my future equipment from them and refer other businesses as well !

Worst experience. Don’t trust Joe. He’s dishonest and untrustworthy. I purchased a laser from him in cash, and just one week later, the laser stopped working due to a blown electrical circuit. Out of the four handpieces, only two are functional. Joe has blocked me and is never available in his office to address my concerns or explain the money he took from me.

Joe was amazing to work with when selling our laser. Could not have asked for someone more professional, fair, and responsive.
So much so that when there was an unexpected minor issue we discovered when doing final testing he was not only willing to still do the deal and handle the fix, but met in the middle in terms of what the repair would possibly cost in terms of reducing the selling price to cover it. That's not to mention the additional shipping costs he incurred by having to have it routed to him first and then to his buyer.
Can't say I see a time when I'll have another laser to sell but if I should ever find myself in a place to do so Joe will be the first I will call.

Very disappointed with Joe , who is essentially Apex Medical Lasers. Sent my Icon Green hand piece for a new lamp and overall refurbishment. I was charged $2300. We are a very busy practice so we immediately tested the hand piece on our staff and saw no results. Not wanting to put off our clients anymore I had Palomar send me a refurbished hand piece which comes with a guarantee. I also ordered a Palomar tech to come and check out the ICON system. While he was here he tested my newly "refurbished" hand piece piece with the standard meter and it came in at 25 J. The acceptable level at the low end was 33. So I essentially flushed $2300 down the drain. I called Joe asking if he thought it fair to at least reimburse a portion of the $2300 and his only answer was send it back. I explained that I couldn't afford to go through this again and if he couldn't do it right the first time why would I give him another bite of the apple. I would encourage anyone who does business with him to use a credit card so if he doesn't perform you will have options.I have owned my business for 18 years and anyone can contact me. You know Joe you could have made an effort to do something but you just didn't give a damn.Mark GinellaRadiance MedspaCt

What a great experience working with Joe! The flash lamp error code came on for our Cutera handpiece and we called up Apex Medical for help with an estimate to repair it. Well, we had it back in a few days and it works just great. He was really helpful with our situation.
