No shade. This trail would be best enjoyed in the cooler months.... although I did see 4 deer on the trail about 2 miles in during the month of May. Taking the loop clockwise, the last portion of the trail is loose sand. It was a bit of a challenge for this 66yo dude on a pedal-assist ebike, but I made it without going down.
Parking: Limited parking. Maybe 4-6 spaces.
Restrooms: None
Dog-friendliness: Great open spaces for dogs.

Great park in an out of the way area. Get to know natural Florida before housing developments took over.
Lots of wild life, deer, pigs, small creatures, etc.
Given how much the pigs over run the area, tear up anything, road sides, yards, anything. The county should consider letting hunters in to slim the hog population in an isolated area.
We do plan to visit again, but bring what you need, nothing is close to the area.

Okay so I thought I would see a lot of wildlife, but most I saw was a white bird and yellow flying grasshopper thing. When I went there was no mosquitos.. but some of the trails are grassy. I think if you're looking to exercise here aka go for a nice jog it's 4 stars. But if you wanna just go for a walk and see cool wildlife I feel like then it deserves 3 stars. Would I come back? Probably only to exercise..

Well maintained scenic trail. There are plenty of good views and spots with shade. I didn't see any benches on the main trail. It is well marked and there is a trail map at the start of the trail.

The trails were overgrown with grass. It looks like someone mowed, but only a small segment. There are some sandy parts of the trail and mostly full sun. The mosquitoes were bad as there is a lot of wet areas including on the trails. It’s peaceful though which we enjoyed! Overall a nice place to hike. Looking forward to trying it in the fall when it’s cooler.

I walk my dog here about once week. The trail is wide open, with side trails to explore. Sometimes kids hang out at the parking lot and leave trash, but the trail is well maintained, with someone who comes through cleaning up the horse poop daily. It was one of two parks that remained open during the shutdown.
