We love to rent at Cannons and do so often, everyone is friendly, we have a great time. The 20 ft boat had a waterlogged drivers seat, so it was very wet to sit there, luckily it was a warm day.

I'd previously rated this place 5 stars some years ago. How times change.I visit LBK once or twice a year and have rented form Cannons quite a few times. I won't go again.There's a $30 booking fee for nothing. This fee applies even if you walk in - where staff won't book the boat and they tell you to do it on your phone. Absurd.I called for a rental and the lady who answered told me that only one boat had gone out. I told her that the weather was looking a little bad and she explained it was clear and sunny - I was 200m away and it was dark and pouring in rain. I asked for a half day rental - this used to be possible. I was told that cannot be possible and can't happen. I explained I was not going to take a boat out while there were thunder showers in the area. I was told I could pay $600 for a full of half day. I declined and went to Bradenton Boat Rental where I enjoyed a half day rental in the sun.Kind of weird when you are a small independent business that you don't try to help your customers and yourself. Instead of taking my $300 for half a day rental they got nothing, and I won't go back.

Do not rent from here. They stole my brother's dive computer off our rental boat. When I alerted the staff that the crew member stole the computer, they could care less. They acted like we were lying. Dishonest staff right up to management. I hope the few hundred dollars was worth it.

this is a wonderful marina. They refurbished our boat, sold us a new engine and fine tuned it on a second visit. Good people, nice facility!

Excellent sales and service! Bought a used boat a year ago with Scott leading us though a complex process with ease. Had the boat serviced twice and very happy. Pepe was especially helpful (and patient) with some complex questions and repairs. If you want great service for a boat you purchase, Cannons is the best.

Cannon's is the worst Marina ever! If I could give a lower star I would. We bought a beautiful boat from Brandan, at Cannons, who was wonderful!! So fast forward to last week after we sold it. Although living an hour away based on the amazing customer service and trust of the company, we immediately call Cannons. The boat did not have a trailer and we agreed to detail and lift out of the water before the new owner picked it up. The new owner was to pay for wrapping and loading on the truck, as it was to be trucked across the country. In setting up the date, to ensure everything was done, we scheduled but due to Hurricane Ian coming they were understandably not taking boats. Luckily the storm did not hit this area and plans remade to take the boat to Cannons with agreed services. I drove the 2 hour round trip and due to family a big part of the city of Longboat key, was able to park my vehicle a mile down the road. After arriving my husband went in to pay $1200+ for the services, I asked the young deck hand if I could get a ride less than a mile of which he replied "needed to ask boss." He approached the lady at the front desk who rudely stated that the boss was busy. I tried to get an Uber to my disappointment was 20 minutes out, so I asked the multiple people standing around how far it was to be told "about a mile" so I ran there to pick up my vehicle. The most alarming thing about the whole encounter was That I was REALLY concerned as they now stated they didn't have anyone to wrap the boat (although that part was being paid for by the new owner, I was assured prior to bringing the boat to Cannons that coordination between the company Cannons used for wrapping, the new owner, the time of detail, and the wrap were confirmed). When I mentioned that I was concerned that the boat would get trashed driving such a distance if not wrapped, a voice from one of the employees stated "what are you worried about, you don't own it anymore." That is NOT my nature and the lack of integrity of this company astonishes me. But that was not the worst!!!! The new owner called on Monday to state that the detail was NOT done, we tried to reach Cannons and 3 days later this was confirmed, they did NOT conduct services paid for AND NEVER CONTACTED US. The woman who answered the phone and refunded the money (times two since she accidentally charged the money again). When asking her if they planned to let us know they didn't do the work and refund us the money, she stated "we would eventually find it and contact you, we do the books every 3 days." Obviously not!!!!! This boat was too big for us but we love Grady Whites and Cannons has the most Grady's, unfortunately we will be taking our business elsewhere and suggest you do the same.
