We visit Longboat Key every year and we have been getting our flu shots there for several years. We visited when we arrived and got our flu shots as we usually do. We waited a couple weeks and went today to get our COVID boosters. Easy peasy and very efficient at this location. Nice clean store with lots of swimwear and swim toys too.

I went to CVS for 2 products but they only had one. I bought the item and went next door to Publix Pharmacy for the product that CVS did not carry. Publix had the same product I bought at CVS but it was $8.00 cheaper...$11 and change at Publix and $19 at CVS! I bought the product at Publix and went back to CVS for a refund. I was told that they could not issue a refund because I left the store with the item, due to Coronavirus. I asked how they were informing their customers of this and why was I not told at the time of purchase. The clerk pointed to FOUR 8" x 11" laminated notices tapes to the left of the counter...each with different messages. No verbal notice at checkout. No notice on the large plastic divider protecting the clerk and customer. When I spoke to the manager, he said they do verbally inform people who make larger purchases such as medical equipment, BP cuffs, etc but not everyone. I am now writing this complaint because I spent 25 minutes (mostly on hold) and spoke to a person who was poorly trained, poor phone equipment, heavy accent and difficult to understand and in the end had to connect me to another person. When I had enough of the "hold" music and wasting my time, I started writing. My suggestion: ALWAYS check prices at Publix or any other Pharmacy before CVS...three strikes and you are out with me...(1) price (2) Poor execution of change in everyday practices (3) Extremely poor Customer Service when contacting Corporate.

Unfortunately my new prescription drug plan uses CVS and what a mistake. Having had a number of encounters with various personnel in the pharmacy I realize the savings gained with the new plan will only cause me aggravation. I don't understand why the pharmacists and assistants are so cold and sometimes downright rude. They should all visit any Walgreens and witness the difference. I used to drive 10 miles just to shop at Walgreens to avoid this CVS. Now I regret changing drug plans forcing me to shop at CVS

I have several issues with CVS. First, if they are supposed to be a "Health Store", why do they sell candy, chips and soda? These are not healthy items. Taking cigarettes off the shelves is just a stunt. Also, what's up with all the so called coupons you get when you check out. The receipt is about 6 ft long with items you don't use. Also, I hate that in the isles, you have to buy several unrelated items to get the discount. How about just lower the prices overall and do away with the gimmicks. I switched to Walgreens. Much better. Simple and you don't feel like you're being tricked or that you might be missing out in a sale item. Thank you Walgreens.
