Paid upfront for my bag to be repaired as well as shipping cost. Payment was made on December 17 of last year and it is almost the exact same time a year later. Originally, I was quoted a turnaround time of about a month, and it is almost been a whole year. Every time we speak, it’s a different excuse, For a while, my bag was supposedly not even completed. Recently, he claims to have completed it, but cannot get around Shipping it. I did research on the area, and there is a USPS less than five minutes from this place of business. I am thoroughly disappointed in this business owner Because he seems to have done good work in the past due to reviews from years prior But in recent times, it has not been good at all. I have blown his phone up with no response, No text message back or no phone call back when it comes to the day to ship my bag out. It pains me to have to escalate this, but I have been in contact with the police as early as today and I’m looking towards having to pay More money to take this situation to small claims court. Absolutely ridiculous do not waste your time or money with this business. Especially one that makes you pay upfront and does not hold up their end of the deal. I should’ve just taken the bag to Louis Vuitton themselves for repair.

Came from out of town and needed the laces tightened on my softball glove and they did it very fast and oiled glove for me and cut off the unused laces. Fantastic job!

Took my shoes 10 months ago and still wont give them back to me. Ive spoken to him no less than 15 times and every time he says theyll be done tomorrow. They never are. At this point he's just stolen my money and my shoes.

Everyone loves a new pair of shoes or boots, or a new belt! I was thinking of trashing my tall leather boots after I pretty much ran them to their last thread….the soles were so worn they had holes in them and they just were very beat up. Instead of throwing them away however and blissfully going to the mall to get a brand new pair I decided to invest in them. Looking up on line in the Longwood area cobblers etc. I came across A+Shoe & Purse Repair. I dropped my tall tan boots off as well as my Italian leather belt. Robert the owner was there to greet me in his workshop and in good hands they were! He is a craftsman. He is working in a vocation that is becoming obsolete but he is doing a marvelous job at bringing back to life your old, worn gems. So do yourself a favor……give your leather new life instead of retiring it to a landfill. I am so happy I did. Thank you Robert! Your business is A+++!!!!

I am not sure how to rate this place. The 23rd will be 3 months since my suitcase has been at this location. I don't know if my suitcase is fixed or not. Everytime I call I get a text "call you back" which doesn't happen, and when the phone is answered I am hit with this Saturday but when I reach our on Saturday no answer. I don't live close so I am not driving out there for nothing.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. I’m not one to ever even leave reviews, but I can’t in good conscience let others experience what I experienced without doing what I could to prevent it.I dropped my Louis Vuitton purse off at Robert’s on May 12th, paid up front. It is now September 9th, and the only reason I have my bag back is because I threatened to report this business to the BBB. And I still will. My mother and I had collectively been to the shop 4 times to check on the purse, and we received the same answer every time: “it’ll be ready by the end of the week. I’ll text you” - of course paired with a different excuse every time.Not only was my purse found on the ground with his dog running all over the place, but it was never even close to being finished. Now that I have received my purse, the job he did was so rushed and disappointing. A 5th grader could’ve done a better job than him with the stitching. I wanted to leave the bag there and have him fix it, but I have so little trust in this man and business, that I refuse to leave it again. I will never be back and this business should be shut down ASAP. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PROPERTY IN THIS BUSINESS’S FLOOR…I mean hands.

The owner has a reputation for taking your money upfront and then never quite getting around to doing the work. Lots of excuses. His first was that “it was raining “. The second, third and forth was that his “mom’s in the hospital”. He apparently uses that one often as I ran into a neighbor yesterday that told me he used the same excuse for not working on his wife’s shoes - but it was 6 months ago! Don’t waste your time with this guy. He seems to care nothing about his business or his customers. He has an “F” rating with BBB. There’s a reputable repair shop just a mile away in Jamestown shopping center near Publix.

Talk about the worst service. Robert had me waiting for 9 months! Not only that he gave me a new excuse each time I walked in. First was his “Broken” arm , then his mother. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve been writing your own reviews Robert because I’m not the only one complaining about their shoes being gone almost a year. Your a bad businessman who doesn’t hold himself accountable and it shows. Like I don’t get you man you took my 1300$ shoes for 9 months and didn’t even fix them. That’s literally your job and you can’t even do that right BUM

Literally waited 1 month and 7 days for a strap and shoe tips repair. The excuses were unbelievable and each time I asked to collect my items to issue a refund he swore it would be ready. It's obvious why he requires full payment up front because he knows he won't deliver quality work. Save yourself and find another

****this Message is for everyone ,wants to know about the kind of person Robert is , i considered him as a friend i closed my shoe repair shop 4 yrs. ago & 3 yrs. ago robert asked me if i can help him out so that he can open his own shop i let him take all my shoe repair machines and all of my supplies in return he agrees to pay me monthly for all my stuff that i worked hard for to obtain.until now he has not even pay me a cent. i wondered robert, how you can sleep at night knowing that you take advantage me the only person who help you so that can have a shop.my biggest regrets was trusting & helping you... i believed in good deeds but im also believed in karma... you have no remorse & heartless you deserved what is coming for you...karma!!! prove me wrong because i dont see you replying to a bad comments but true,you only replys to a good comments.i pray that god teach you a hard lesson that you never forget...karma !!!! I Dare you to prove me Wrong Robert but I doubt it if you will because you know everything I said was true!!!

So this review will change as soon as the owner follows through with completing my boots. First off I hate that it has come to this but I can’t take being lied to one more time. Long story short this has transpired over the time of 3 weeks. First it was pay first and then come back in 2 weeks to get them. Ok cool I am down with that I understand that he has other people so that’s fine with me. I was not to happy to here I had to pay before hand but then again I understand that he has material that he needs to get for my boots so no big deal. Then 2 weeks went by and that’s when this has started. Every time I go it’s some excuse. I get it life happens but don’t tell me it will be done in 2 hours and when I come back your going and the lights are off. Now if that happened one time then cool. But nope it’s happened 2 times in the past 3 days. He also told my wife on ya ill be done today nope! I am at a loss. It’s my work boots I need them for work and I am stuck because I paid him already. So as of right now 8-18-23 this post is subject to being changed when I get my boots finished tomorrow or I get a full refund.

Much like the other negative reviews, I trusted Robert with my Louis Vuitton Neverfull. After a year and 7 months of ill Mail it tomorrow, I filed a police report. I asked several times if I could just get my purse back WITHOUT repairs as I was going to have Louis Vuitton do the repairs AND HE ABSOLUTELY RUINED MY PURSE ON PURPOSE !! Handles UNeven and not sewn on straight or in the right places, trim seam anything but straight, glue everywhere on the lining with black stains! He kept my authentic Louis Vuitton rivets and handle/ side strap I sent in for a sample and to use to replace the side D rings! When you look at what is advertised in his Gallery and then look at the pictures of his work on my purse you can easily see the difference in craftsmanship. After I asked for it not to be touched at all it was absolutely done carelessly on purpose!Not to mention harassing phone calls at 630 / 700 in the morning.ThisBottom line Beyond Unprofessional and Poor craftsmanship!GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

This the first time I brought my shoes into Robert, A+ Shoe & Purse as I needed them shined for a wedding. This was about 3 weeks ago. Besides a great shine he glued a couple of spots and made them more “comfortable” to walk in by sanding down the sole that had been previously replaced poorly. His workmanship was excellent and he went above and beyond what asked him to do.Last but not least he only charged about the same as my regular (now previous) shoemaker charged for a shine!
