LeAnn was very rude made the experience of my mom's passing a terrible experience .I spent 5 hours jumping through hoops .then LeAnn said they were wrong the check was being sent . Then she called from a private Kansas number late in the evening asking me to verify me .bottom line the bank is keeping my mom's money beware

Amazon Store Card-Great card. They give you a high limit which is good and bad.... because Amazon is so fun to shop at! So, it is good in order to get all the products you want, and not so good because well, you can go a bit crazy with shopping lol. However, this card has a great feature where if you pay certain purchases off within a set amount of time the purchases are interest free! Can't beat that!

I applied for an Amazon Syncrony Card so I could get a better price on an ipad purchase. The card has a 20% interest rate. I planned on cutting up the card upon receipt. They sent me a letter saying I had excellent credit and I was declined. . They are preying on the poor folks. Horrendous!

Do not use them for anything, I had 10 plus accounts with over $15k in spending power and decided after 2 plus years to close them. They did this because my score dropped due to utilization. They made it worse by closing my accounts with perfect payment history by lowering my disposable credit. Example on one account had a 4K limit and lowered it to $250 before they closed it. Make sure not to apply to the credit cards that are part of Synchrony network. No phone calls from them just closed them because I'm white.

Stay away from this bank! Called to cancel CD account on 11/11/2023. Was told "about" 3 business days to close. Three business days later told "4 business days. Today is the 6th business day! Called and was told "back office never initiated the closure of the account". Some employees were totally unprofessional "yeah, " (not the way to speak with a customer). Requested to speak with a manager "a manager will call you back in 5-7 business days". Unless this bank is offering 15 percent interest, I'm not coming back! Wish there were "zero star ratings"

I wish there was an option for choosing any stars . Synchrony bank opened a Master Card without my permission. On 10/20/23 I made a $1,000 payment towards my JC Penny credit card which is with Synchrony bank . Unbeknownst to me Synchrony, Bank took my $1000 cash payment towards my Jc Penny's credit card and put it on a MasterCard. I had no knowledge of. These people basically stole my identity and open up a Mastercard without my permission. In my opinion, Synchrony, Bank is unethical sneaky scoundrels. I am livid this is not over I will be filing a formal complaint. 0000 stars terrible business practices.

Synchrony Bank recently closed 3 of my accounts with them and this decision was completely unwarranted. I had two Guitar Center cards and one Levin Furniture card. I found out about this through a push notification with Credit Karma. I am more so concerned about the Levin account. I called into customer service and the first representative I spoke with was extremely rude. He told me a letter was sent to me and he read the text of that letter. He eventually hung up on me. The reasons for my closure is completely bogus. I understand I agreed to their terms and conditions upon opening the account, but that doesn't mean I can't dispute their decision. I called back in and spoke with a friendly rep who transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor told me it is impossible to reinstate my account, although reading some of the other complaints on BBB it seems they did reinstate other accounts for people. She gave me the corporate address to which I mailed a letter. I also filed a complaint through the chat system on their website. They sent me an email a few days letter with another letter that basically said the same thing as the first one. It was a do not reply email address so I couldn't send a response back. I have made every single payment on time for all 3 accounts that were closed, I had these accounts for years! It's no wonder why these guys have a 1.9 BBB rating. Closing your customers' accounts for bogus reasons is terrible customer service. I will consider my complaint resolved when all 3 of my closed accounts are re-opened. Until then, I will continue mailing letters and filing complaints with customer service.

WORST “BANk”EVER a federal lawsuit needs to be brought against this company!!!! I had several accounts with this company- Wayfair, Jcpenny, tJ maxx, Amazon and Walgreens. At first everything is great but then as you pay down the balance they reduce your limit without notice. After they reduce your limit, once the card is paid off they close your account without notice and tank your credit! Because you’re expecting to your utilization go down on your credit report but instead they remove the card from your credit report that’s paid off. Even though I have never been late this happened to me three times!!!DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THIS BANK. ITS NOT WORTH THE STORE PROMOTION, even uif they say just pay it off. If scynchrony does you not like the way your using your credit through other merchants they close the account, even though you paid their high interest, took the inquiry on your credit report, and made sacrifices to pay off the account. This company needs to go bankrupt.I’m

Worst bank ever. I dread using my Guitar Center Synchrony Credit Card. Worthless customer service reps and, if you have multiple promotional plans, make it as difficult as possible to allocate over payments to the promotional balances ending soonest. If you'd like you have a bank piss you off for the next 6, 12, 24, 36 or 48 months then choose Synchrony Bank backed credit cards!

Avoid these assholes. Was approved for a $700 credit limit in March for a Discount Tire card through them, made some purchases, went on vacation and forgot to make a payment. Called 2 weeks ago to make the payment and the guy was just straight up rude. He told me I couldn't make purchases until I made the $30 payment and $37 late payment even though I still had about $400 remaining on the card and he said "that's their policy and they aren't going to change it for me'. Well first off, you sweaty cheese, I didn't ask you to change your policy, I just said your policy sucks. Second, they reduced my credit to $250 because of the one late payment. When I called today to find out wtf, I spoke to Abby, who I assumed got hired because she fogged a mirror and not for her ability to do the job it was hired for, and she said they sent a letter last week(haven't received it). I asked how they can approve then cut a credit line after purchases had been made and it was more of 'thats our policy'. Well their policy sucks, their company sucks, anybody in management with this shitty company sucks and I hope everyone involved with this company gets permanent crotch rot

Undoubtedly worst customer service ever. I sent a request for distribution on my IRA CD account to close out a small balance and faxed all forms to IRA CD dept. requesting check asap. on 10/11/23. On 10/16/23 I received a letter saying that form was not acceptable as instructions unclear, or incomplete with no explanation given and signed by no one. I called customer service and asked why no one had picked up the phone and called me. The only box not checked was Type of Distribution. I did not check normal (age 59 1/2 or older). I am 80 years old and have been doing business with bank for over 10 years. I was told that I had to completed all 6 pages again and refax (cost $15.62) for the second time. Nasty customer service rep. tried to find something else wrong but could not, she intimated that this form went to the IRS. (for what?) I do not even have to file taxes as my income is below the minimum required. This reminds me of the Veterans Admin. claims process where your appeal is returned two years later as denied for no explanation given. I went through that for over five years for my Vietnam Veteran brother who died very shortly after receiving his 100% disability. Does not make any common sense.

there's no customer service at all and after minutes trying to get customer service the recording say "goodbye " and hangup, this is the worst bank to do business with, adding to that indian scammers have easy access to this bank, they called me 3 times

I have several credit cards but Synchrony Bank is the worst for customer service. They are rude and seem to go out of their way to lie to the customer and try to not be helpful in any way. I am going to close any credit card with this bank. I refuse to give them any of my business. I made a large payment to my credit card in anticipation of remodeling my kitchen. Synchrony bank accepted my payment, then closed my credit card, trapping my money. Then, the bank refused to mail me back a check for the refund. Every time I call I am told my account is under review. They treat me like I am a criminal even though I explained why I paid extra to the card. My card limit was not enough to finish my remodel. That is not a difficult concept to understand but everyone at Synchrony acts like I am trying to defraud them. They sent a letter to me saying that they closed my account because they think my overpayment indicates I may charge the card and then not pay it back. That is completely backwards. I was paying the card ahead in order to buy cabinets and countertops. Nobody from synchrony will listen to me. Now I have to pay interest to another credit card because Synchrony is holding my money hostage even after I sent them an image of my check that cleared my bank. I am not a crook, but synchrony bank is!
