About Boynton Inlet Pier
Boynton Inlet Pier is a popular and well-loved fishing spot located at Ocean Inlet Park, which offers easy access to the Atlantic Ocean through the South Lake Worth Inlet, also known as Boynton Inlet. The pier is made of sturdy concrete, is quite wide, and extends over the ocean, providing a perfect place for fishing and enjoying ocean views. Visitors often come to fish for tarpon and other fish, with some catching a significant number of fish during their visits. There is no charge to walk or fish on the pier, making it accessible for everyone. The pier also offers a safe and comfortable environment, with features like a metal railing to hold onto while enjoying the scenery. Beyond the pier, the area features a nice beach that stretches north of the inlet, ideal for those who prefer a quieter spot away from crowded beaches. Though there are no lifeguards or facilities on this beach, it remains a favorite for people seeking a peaceful walk or time in nature. Visitors often walk or ride ATVs along the beach, which is accessible from Ocean Inlet Park, a park that was improved in 1988 with amenities for recreation. Parking is available across the street at Ocean Inlet Park, but the park itself does not have extensive facilities. Historically, the inlet has played a significant role in the area's development, facilitating fishing, boating, and economic growth. It has a rich history dating back to the 19th century, having been created to help flush polluted water and improve navigation. Today, the Boynton Inlet and its pier remain a favorite destination for fishing, relaxing, and enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
