Was there for an event. Location is amazing. Great place to see the sunset and have a drink from the bar.

Hi! this hotel took US 108,00 more dollars from my credit card without authorization and without reason. I paid my stay (January 2024) by Booking and everything was covered, in fact is the same amount of money shown in the receipt the hotel gave me. Unfortunatelly now they dont answer my messages or e-mails. I feel they dont care and dont' want to reimburse me. If you visit them please pay attention to the credit card movments

This is the worst hotel. It looks like a shack. I booked reservations online. The pictures looked amazing, once I got to the property I spoke to the manager and told her this place is not up to par with the photos as she agreed with me, but still charged me $475.00 and didn’t want to reimburse me. False advertisement. I didn’t stay but they still charged me. I would not recommend this hotel.

The rooms and location are really the highlights. The rooms are recently remodeled and very nice. The ground are very dated but it seems they are working on them. It appears that maybe there is 1 person for each department. All of the staff were nice and did the best they could but they were clearly overwhelmed. When we arrived our room wasn't clean yet and they told us to come back in an hour. No big deal, we figured we would get an early dinner. 90 second later they called to say the room was ready. The floor was still wet from being mopped and apparently had some sort of cleaner on it that made the floor feel oily and slippery the entire time we were there. We stayed 3 nights and the room was never once cleaned again. I tried to track housekeeping down to get clean linens and coffee for the Keurig. They never had anything with them. The last night, housekeeping "made" the bed (it was roughly equivalent to how a 3 year old might have done) and picked up some of the dirty towels. That's it. Didn't pick up all the dirty towels. Just some of them. The day before housekeeping came by around 7pm(we were told cleaning was between 9 and 3) with towels and coffee. The grounds really have a lot of potential and I hope they can keep making improvements. I think they need to staff up for the amount of guests they have.

Got to say this was one heck of a motel/resort. Got a room for over night and it was so peaceful and clean. The permanent residents are so friendly and very helpful to tell you the best things to do. Highly recommend. The only thing that was so so was the continental breakfast.

Consistent, persistent smell of marijuana in our hallway. We literally found the shortest route to our room and ran to our room holding our breath. Once there was a strong marijuana smell at the front desk. Breakfast was a frozen box with a bagel, small cheese omelette, yogurt and a packaged muffin. All of which we tested or microwaved ourselves. The hot tub was not very clean.Nearby activities: Very near the Turtle Hospital and great restaurants.

Go somewhere else!Much much too expensive for poorly renovated rooms and furniture that has worn out, non-existent service (and noisy cf. the air conditioning in the technical rooms), and a forcefully added tax for bike/swimming pool/tennis even if you don't use them ? the breakfast was poor, an almost empty box?? this establishment is like its parking lot: has been(NB: I have been waiting for 8 days for the reimbursement of the visa imprint taken “as guarantee” ⁉️)

Rooms were well restored but the property itself needs a LOT of work and the breakfast was a joke.

If I can I actually want give 0. My wife and I had a horrible and terrible experience at the Banana Bay Resort & Marina, which is the hotel we booked through the Priceline. The bellow is the detailed description of our experience. We arrived at the Banana Bay around 1:00 pm on January 5. We were told that even though the room was not available then, our room had been assigned in the Marina Bay House. The worker at the Front Desk then drew out where our room was in a map, which we still kept. We thought that we would check in later on and have a wonderful stay at the Banana Bay. However, what we experienced at the Banana Bay was a nightmare. We returned to the Banana Bay and began our check-in around 6:00 pm. The worker at the Front Desk then changed to another woman who brought us to the nightmare. First, she charged us the resort fee of $48, which is double the resort fee shown in the Priceline. Even though we were not happy with this unexpected rise in the resort fee, we made the payment. Then she assigned us to a room in Island House close to US 1 Highway. Since I was very sensitive to the highway noise, my wife wanted the room that was originally assigned to us. When this request was refused by the Front Desk worker, my wife complained. Then the Front Desk worker told us if we did not accept the room, we can cancel the reservation. Unhappy with the double charge of the resort fee and the room changed, my wife accepted the cancellation. However, the Front Desk worker claimed that the payment would not be returned to us. My wife told her that it was not acceptable. When they went into an impasse, I'd like to step in and find a solution to the dispute. I said to the Front Desk worker, "Could you please be patient and listen to me?" I did not even finish my sentence when the Front Desk worker threatened to call the police. I was shocked with her response. I believe we did not violate any law and we are not afraid of facing the policy. The police told us that we are nice and decent couple, but we were not allowed to approach Banana Bay because of the hotel request, How rude it is to customers! We will never book this hotel again and will tell our friends and family to stay away from this hotel.

My first complaint is that because we booked on line when we arrived to check in and pay we asked about military discounts etc. but we're told because we booked on line we would have had to click on promotions to take advantage of the many discounts they offer. I asked how could we have known to do that and since we had not yet paid could we not receive the discount now but was told no. The next complaint I have is with the room, the shower has no door and therefore water gets all over the floor, secondly there are no shelves in the shower so your soap, shampoo etc have to sit on the floor. Also the bathroom mirror is supposed to light up and ours did not, I called the desk an hour or so after we got into our room but over our two night stay it was never fixed.

Absolutely horrible stay down here in marathon. To start off with they changed our card 3 times and couldn’t give an explanation why and I asked. Then we go to our room and that room already has people in it. When you walk into the hotel it smells like mod. The icing on top of it all was the mod on the bed!!! When we went to the front desk they said oh that happen all the time for the back door being open. I’ve had at plenty of hotels on the water and have never had this happen beforeRooms: Mod on beds.Safety: Mod smell in hotel and mod on beds.

No interest. The rooms were renovated in a hurry! the paintings are disgusting. Everything has been repainted. The furniture is very old. The breakfast and its room are depressing! The exteriors are absolutely not maintained. It's disgusting. I absolutely do not

There is no private beach. There is sand, but no access to swim. It is just a marina. It is a very nice hotel, but the private beach was misleading. Also, they should put microwaves in rooms!

A quick last minute trip to before ending my school break. Reviews made it skeptical, and when I arrived at 430 and the room was not ready made it a bit sketchy, BUT once we got to our garden view room, it was worth it. People who are here to complain about EVERY SINGLE DETAIL should realize this is The Florida Keys. You get what you pay for. If this is the cheapest place you can find, it will not be a 5 star stay! LOL! However, it met my very last minute standards and then some: clean room, working ac, clean building hallways, quiet, clean (heated pool), jacuzzi, hammocks and two open bars at in the afternoon and evening. Great view for sunset. It’s our new annual girls weekend spot.Cons: room was humid, but again this is Florida, keep door closed (we had a balcony), keep ac/fan on to fix that; remote for tv didn't work.Rooms: Ours was perfect, clean, quiet and comfortableNearby activities: Lots of great food, grocery stores, beaches, etcNoteworthy details: Free wifi and 24 hours service

Very good resort but is expensive. When I tried to eat the breakfast which was given they had no knives to cut the bagel and had no cream cheese. For the price they should have this available.Rooms: Rooms match the theme of the islands and look good overall. But when room service comes they don't clean the room up very well.
