We were welcomed very warmly by Damien! He was amazing! He explained everything, the room, amenities and extra amenities at the sister hotel next door. We were served Mimosas - very good! Our room was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Resort is a bit outdated, some stains on the carpet, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I prefer my pillows firm, but 3 worked ok. We walked to the Marina - beautiful area. Then had a bite to eat at The Lighthouse Grille. Live music, games on the bar TV's. Staff was excellent, high prices and not much on the menu interested us. We shared a fish dip with crackers. I had a very good non-alcoholic strawberry margarita, my husband had a flight. We ended up talking to the lady next to us - it was her birthday and she ordered this amazing fish. She gave us some to try, fantastic! Love the lighthouse, you can walk around whenever. Lawn games, hammocks to relax in.Rooms: Outdated. But the bed was comfy and the room was clean. Nice walk in shower. Plenty of towels and beach towels.Nearby activities: Marina, restaurant behind the resort. The Sea Turtle Hospital is down the street. Restaurants, gas stations, beaches....Safety: We felt safe the entire time we were there. My husband loved getting up really early and walking the docks by the marina.Walkability: A lot of things are in walking distance. It was unseasonably warm the first few days. So we used the car.Food & drinks: There is a mini bar in the room and an espresso machine. We used one bottle of water which cost us $6.38. We didn't use anything else on the mini bar.

The front desk service which was provided by Deamion and Otis was the BEST check in and welcome I have EVER RECEIVED at any hotel I have stayed at. They were friendly, welcoming and informative. The rooms were well appointed, clean and large. The AC could have been a bit cooler but did work well. The location is convenient to all attractions and restaurants. I would highly recommend trying this resort hotel if you are in the area.

This resort is perfect for anyone looking to be somewhere centrally located to all the fun marathon has to offer. We were within minutes to pigeon Key and took the little train out for a private Christmas party that I broker booked. The staff was super friendly at this resort, and we even got welcome drinks!

After a very wet start to our Key West trip, our stay here at the Fara Blanco with additional amenities at the neighboring sister property was just what we needed. Great view of the water, nice rooms, (internet a little slow), the Lighthouse Grill & Bar was very nice.

This was an absolute gem for our stay with family/kids. Beautiful views, plenty to explore and sister properties to enjoy other pools. They had games for the kids. Everyone LOVED this hotel! The staff was amazing, Andre and Kylie accommodated us so well! Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stayed here this past weekend and it was amazing! Staying at hotels in the area can always be hit or miss. The location is perfect. There are a lot of different food options nearby and the pool bar that's connected to the restaurant had good lunch and dinner options. The staff was friendly and welcomed us with a drink. The room and grounds were clean and they provided pool towels upon checking in so you don't have to go searching for them. They have 2 pools on the property and offer a lot of different areas to park which was close to our room. They have a decent breakfast selection, which is not included but worth paying for. I would absolutely stay here again!

This place would honestly get two to three stars if it were located anywhere other than in the Keys. The rooms are dated. The ala carte breakfast menu is limited at best, and the pools are tiny. The staff, on the other hand, is wonderful. Everyone except the receptionist who "welcomed" us, Melissa! Melissa, darling, I don't think this hospitality is your calling. Would I stay here again? Probably not. I can think of better things to do with my $2000 for three nights.

We stayed here for a long weekend for my birthday. From the time we checked in Otis was amazing with us till the time we checked out. All the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and spacious which was great. There were two pools to choose from and one has a bar. The on-site restaurant is worth it. The food is portioned and amazing and the staff there were great as well. The views are amazing and the sunsets I couldn’t ask more, every night we sat out on the dock. This place is a must for family’s, couples and friends to have a good time. I will be coming back again.Rooms: Rooms are nice and spaciousSafety: Felt very safe there right down the street from the police stationWalkability: Yes you can walk to restaurants and boat and jet ski rentalsFood & drinks: The restaurant on-site was great. The food was amazing

This was our second stay at Faro Blanco. The hotel has added some nice features like in-room coffee. We like the large sized, and clean, rooms. The grounds are well kept. We sat by the pool/bar the whole evening and enjoyed the music while the sun setted. It's great place for dinner and pictures of the marina/ lighthouse even if you don't spend the night. We'll be back!

We stayed four nights, five days and housekeeping did not enter our room one time. I let the manager know two times, and they still did not come to our room. They did give us a small credit on our bill though. The rooms are nice, but the bathroom doors are glass and almost see through. Not a very thoughtful design imo. No privacy when using the restroom.Other than those 2 things, the resort is great. The staff at the lighthouse grill and bar were awesome. The grounds are well kept. The manager at the breakfast counter is a gem. The pools were great as well.

Our curtains kept falling down, they were held up by some sticky material on a rod that turns, if we had the curtains down for privacy there was too much weight on the unrolled portion and the curtain would fall down. The sticky residue was old like a post-it that's only kinda sticky, that's holds for a second but not for long. Then, the toilet would not flush. The first time my son went to the restroom, maintenance came with a snake, not a plunger, which let me know this was frequent. Then it happened again the next morning. It was embarrassing, to say the least.Lastly, the corner of the wall was separated, as shown in the picture. You also cannot fish even from the far point away from the boats, even with a small kiddy fishing pole. We were told to leave. The restaurant on site was not busy and clearly the reason why was the food. The grouper sandwich was horrible! I have lived in Florida my entire life, and this was the worst grouper sandwich I ever had. Both my son and I peeled off the wet, mushy breading to find the very small pieces of fish to eat that and left the rest of the "sandwich" on the plate. Apps weren't bad. I wouldn't suggest the resort or the restaurant to anyone. I've had better experiences at mom and pops places in the keys.I was offered a $50 credit to compensate for the condition of the room and the issues experienced, but that was not issued until I called twice to get it. It was just not a good experience all the way around. Bummer because my son is a veteran who was home on leave on Memorial Day weekend, and I wanted to take him somewhere nice since he doesn't get much luxury while in the military. He asked me not to waste my money in the future since we've been to better places for less money in the future.

Awesome place for stay in keys. We spent 2 nights and the property is clean, spacious, well organized, and plenty of parking. The lighthouse grill (and actual lighthouse) are right behind the yacht dock too. Reservations recommended at the Lighthouse grill. The front desk staff was really helpful during checkin (the front desk guy gave us detergent too for our last minute rush). Bakery lady was cheerful too.
