They don’t keep the animals on site. Planned a whole day to drive there and adopt. Couldn’t do so bc animal is at foster parents who is out of town. Ridiculous

We were renting a home nearby and a cat brought us a injured baby possum. Not knowing the area we reached out to FKSPCA and they were kind enough to help out. They took the little guy to a nature rehabilitation facility. Thanks Again!

Just got a hamster.. Staff was sweet and welcoming.. We considered getting a hamster from PetSmart in key West... But when I reached into the cage the hamsters were terrified, they froze and were obviously not used to human contact.. Hamsters are nocturnal, and I feel like the only interaction they may have had may have been during the day; and it bread anxiety within the animal... Doing a little bit of research I found out that the shelter in Marathon had hamsters that someone had brought in... They have basically been hand raised since they were born.. And I'll tell you what, our little Theo is just amazing!! He acclimated extremely well... Within two days if I reach my hand into the cage he climbs onto it.. he's sweet and curious... I'm so glad I got him from the shelter instead of the store... He almost seems a bit too intelligent!! I'm considering getting him multiple cages that he can run through, he's so interesting. I just wish he had a bit more fear of falling from heights!! Thanks guys. Thelonius (Theo) is a great addition to our family ?

They took my dog Roscoe back. They said I was abusive and they said they called me multiple times about Roscoes heartworm pills. I checked my phone records and they never called or left a voicemail. Very wrong.
