Marathon's Dog Park is a fenced, grassy area located behind city hall as part of a beautiful city park right on the water. It is a good size and generally well-maintained and clean, offering an ocean view and access for dogs to swim. The park provides a water fountain for dogs and has nice, clean public restrooms conveniently located next to it. While it is a more limited, plain space without amenities like lights, hoses, or an obstacle course, it is a great place for dogs to run off-leash, play, and explore new territory. Visitors can also enjoy the surrounding boardwalk with cabanas and picnic tables. The park closes at dusk.
