Marathon's Dog Park is a fenced, grassy area located behind city hall as part of a beautiful city park right on the water. It is a good size and generally well-maintained and clean, offering an ocean view and access for dogs to swim. The park provides a water fountain for dogs and has nice, clean public restrooms conveniently located next to it. While it is a more limited, plain space without amenities like lights, hoses, or an obstacle course, it is a great place for dogs to run off-leash, play, and explore new territory. Visitors can also enjoy the surrounding boardwalk with cabanas and picnic tables. The park closes at dusk.
The park is very large and the fenced in area for dogs is also good sized. However, when we visited in April, it was all under construction. There was still an area to sit and let my dog off leash.

Folks are friendly and dogs are fun. Easy to find. Down-side, but there are changes coming, shade is limited and the scrub grass is hard to pick the poo out of and there are some well loved areas. However, they are adding a tiki hut and sod grass, so soon those negatives will be gone. Nice little park.
