Worst fishing trip ever! Captain Anthony was late to the dock....could not find his truck. Had to leave to go buy an anchor. Boat was not ready.....poles not rigged, boat needed fuel.....wasted 1 hour out of an 8 hour fishing trip. Mate did not show up. Wasted hours while waiting for him to get poles rigged Captain had a major attitude especially when he drop his phone overboard .....Maybe next time he will stop talking on the phone and do what he got paid to do. Only two could fish at a time since he could not keep up with broken lines and talk on that stupid phone. Captain made several rude comments to me and my daughter in law. Wasted $1200.....buyer beware!

By far the worst experience I have ever had with a charter. Totally unprofessional, arrived in the morning to find our charter double booked, was promised a half day charter in the afternoon, only to arrive at dock to no one there. When contacted was told to "hang tight" captain was in route arriving late from morning charter. At 2pm was final told that charter was not happening. People vacation for a week, and losing a full day to unprofessional liars is uncalled for. A simple we messed up in the morning would have been a lot better then being lied to for a day. We have been vacationing in marathon for 15 years and this is the first bad experience we have had, and will always remember silent hunter fishing for this. This is a direct reflection on captain bj Meyers who was the one we dealt with.

My son and I did a split charter on December 23rd with another father and son. Captain Kevin and and his mate John were absolutely fantastic. Waters were quite rough but they found us fish and got us into some big Mutton Snappers and Kings. They were both very attentive and kept us baited up at all times. The boat was a SeaVee that handled the waters easily and it was in great shape. After we returned to dock John expertly cut our fish and bagged it for us. Cant wait to go out with these pro's again. We had a great time.

I would like to know why Yelp decided to Filter this review. People that are deciding who to go deep sea fishing have a right to know who theyre going out with. THIS is the first time we have ever wirtten a review about anybody, everything we have said is 100 % true........Spoke to captain Bj in person and told him we wanted a private off shore fishing charter to fish for large pelagic fish, he said no problem and he went into great detail about what kind of fish wed catch and about all his experience. The next day 3/17/13 we showed up to go fishing and went with a different captain(whom we eventually found out had NO experience). and btw we paid $1100.00 for this trip.. Immediately after we left shore with this so called captain showed my wife a video of himself shooting a shark with a shotgun. quite disturbing! We set up fishing only a quarter mile off shore for yellow tail snapper. which we didnt want to do AND we told him that we wanted to troll and catch much larger fish. the captain said " I dont troll! ever!".. There was only 3 of us in our party and he told us only 2 people were allowed to fish from his boat! He lost his anchor so we had to go back to shore, which wasnt that far, and get another anchor on our dollar.. The captain caught a red snapper, with btw the fishing pole my wife was using, which he took from her to fish himself, and i told him the red snapper was out of season. the captain made a phone call to verify this and he said " I dont care im gonna poach it anyways"! I could go on for hours, much much worse things happened..
