This place is a beautiful resort to stay at. My wife and I came to Marco Island for the first time and absolutely enjoyed every moment at this wonderful hotel. The location is perfect. We had a view of the pool and the beach which was amazing. There are a bunch of restaurants so you have plenty of options. I would like to say thank you to Guillermo and the manager Tommy in the breakfast restaurant. Their hospitality was top notch. The rooms are very nice and very clean. Everybody I came across was very helpful and friendly. Literally nothing we could complain about. We will definitely return.

Staying at the JW for a conference. Overall a very nice hotel. However, it is 9:30 at night and I am simply looking for something to drink other than water in my room. Most Marriott properties have something in the lobby where you can purchase a bottle of Pepsi or a can of bubli. Not at the JW Marco Island. Here, if you want something other than water your only choice is to call room service - and pay $6+ for a can of Pepsi and wait 45 minutes. There must be a better way. Disappointed in their level of service. They really need to do better.

We were here for a business conference and this place is top notch. The staff is super friendly and very willing to help. The rooms all offer great views and are an easy walk to the beach. Meals in the conference center were very good but meals on the beach were often hot and swarmed by flies. But this is nature, what can you do? Shops were nice but quite expensive.

This JW Marriott was more of a miss than a hit. Last year we stayed at a JW Marriott property in San Antonio and loved the property, food and service. This JW Marriott location is nice but the hotel, food and especially the service from the lobby check in to the pool service was a disappointment. We reserved an Gulf Front View room and upon checkin after a long day of travel was given a “2nd floor” Gulf Front View room that the view is totally obstructed from trees - why call that room “ocean front view” I’m not sure and a noisy restaurant was just below our balcony. I went back down to the lobby and asked to switch to a higher floor and was told flippantly none was available but could put us into a partial ocean view room for the remainder of our 4 night stay BUT “would charge the same price as the Gulf Ocean View”. What??? I’m sure if I was looking for the reverse an upgrade from a partial ocean view room to an ocean front view it would not be the same price. After some back and forth from the lobby desk “ all he could do was a $28. discount”. Insulting! After politely asking to speak to a manager (which they said they could not find after waiting a short time) an assistant manager came out and was courteous and helpful - FINALLY! In conclusion we had to stay in the partial ocean view room for the first night which was nice but no unpacking as we are then moving the next day to a 6th floor ocean view room for the next 3 nights. Ok - this was doable. The next morning our first morning at the hotel we went to the Buffet breakfast at the hotel. The buffet looked aged and subpar after inspection and was told by the waiter “that if we ordered off the menu we would have an extremely long wait”. So our options were aged subpar food or an extremely long wait. Hmmm. We chose to order off the menu and wait. Glad we waited - the food was very good but why the push to choose the subpar buffet? The waiter seemed to be unhappy and service forced so no service with a smile. Our first day at the pool was good. We had good pool service and the drinks and salads were doable. But service the 2nd day by the pool was nonexistent. No one came by for food or drink orders EVER. When I walked over to Quinn’s to pick up our personally placed order at the bar I asked if they had pool service this day or was just short handed? The tall guy behind the bar flippantly pointed to 3 wait staff standing around the bar behind a curtain and said” there they are” as if I was making up a lack of pool service. Again - another flippant attitude. He then pointed to my sacked order to get myself. And again - NO servers anywhere near our pool area for the rest of the day. The mandatory 20% tip added to the bill for this kind of service was another miss. So while we ate by the pool with no follow up service and experiencing flippant attitudes from this level of hotel we decided to cut our stay short, change flight plans and head back home. Upon check out I proofed our summary of charges and found $200 worth of credits missing and was told “they would honor them this time”. Another flippant attitude! Jeez! I believe you get more with honey than vinegar and spoke to everyone at the hotel as such. Personnel at this hotel seem unhappy and it shows.

From the beginning everything was just a nightmare, specially for the price we paid!! My family and I had to wait hours after check in for my room to be ready, mind you my check in was at 4pm and I am traveling with a baby. Our TV was broken, the phone wasn’t working so we literally were not able to order room service or anything the first day, we had to Uber eats. The room had no microwave and the fridge was hot. Thankfully i had my own cooler for baby products. When I went down to complain the 2nd day and ask for a manager, he was able to “help” me by adding a credit to my room of $400 which then come to find out on following day when i went to check out, that since i paid my balance in full in form of CASH at check in, there was no way to credit my account (even though i made my reservation with my credit card) because they told me the card was no longer on file it’s a cash account. Quick to take my cash, but they WOULD NOT give me my credit back in form of cash or card, but points towards account which to me is useless. On top of the fact someone came to our room the 2nd night to change the TV, we told them not to worry about it because we were leaving the following morning. Hours after we left the residence, their security department called me asking about what happen to the TV? and then they tried to charge my card, (the one they no longer had on file as they said) over $700 and thankfully chase fraud dept stopped the transaction automatically. Super unorganized staff and hands down my family will never be traveling to this hotel again as it has been our most stressful experience ever traveling with a top dollar hotel. All staff was either a new employee with little or no training/ experience. NOT RECOMMEND FOR THEIR PRICE, Super disappointing mother’s day trip.

I’ve been thinking a lot over the last few weeks about how and what to say in this review. I have been a part time resident in Naples, FL for the past few years and truly fell in love with Marco Island and the salon & spa amenities at the JW Marriott. Most of the time, whether it be the spa for a massage, or the salon for a color, the customer service and hospitality were amazing and really made feel welcomed. Unfortunately, this last experience of mine at the salon, was not one I anticipated, and I really am questioning going back. As a salon owner myself, in the New England area, one quality my team and I truly pride ourselves on is our customer service skills. Making sure that each and every guest feel welcomed, are being accommodated throughout their appointment and ensuring they leave happy are crucial in this type of industry. I have seen hair stylist Lynn a number of times and I cannot say enough great things about her. Her personality, her color & cutting skills, and just the way she allows me to relax in her chair truly shows the professional and talented artist she is. There was an issue with the root color , which can happen to even the most experienced stylist and was in need of being corrected. How the stylist and most importantly the salon manager or owner reacts to that situation is where my issue lies. I went back to have my hair fixed, and although Lynn was extremely helpful in doing so, her manager that day made me feel as though I was a burden coming back after paying almost $400 for my hair a few days prior. In the color mixing area I overheard the manager telling Lynn what she should and shouldn’t do and really acted annoyed at the situation. Lastly, when the color was finished, her manager came over and rudely told Lynn to just blowdry the front of my hair so I could see the color and that’s it, no blowdry. I get stylists are paid for their services and blowdrys are technically a separate service, but the tone and delivery from the manager in regard to that after a repeat customer comes back, after spending a generous amount of money a few days before just took my by surprise. Not to mention, I now had to take time away from my full time job which then costs me more time and money. I have 8 stylists I oversee at my salon and not one of them would even question blow drying their customers hair after having to fix a mistake that was made. You’re in a customer service industry, especially working out of and representing the JW Marriott, customer satisfaction should be top priority.

My first contact with this wonderful Salon was when I called to make an appointment. Jill answered my call. Jill was so accommodating. I made an app for my husband, they were very busy but Jill said we will make this work, and she did !! My husbands haircut with Jennifer was perfection. When my husband was getting his haircut Jill assisted me with makeup, wow does she know makeup. I bought a few things and love them !!When my husband was done, he looked so fantastic I made an app with Jennifer the next day. What a great decision I made !! Jennifer is the best, Jill is the best. We can't wait till next time. :)Service: Hairstyling

Hotel is OK but I don’t see why this is a JW. It could be just a Marriott vacation one. Deceiving information in regards to charging your Tesla. The app and website says it is complementary, well it is not as you will have to pay $30 for Valet parking. I tried to make some sense of this mistake but everyone at the hotel says it is the first time someone complains that what they say on the app is not in line with reality. Nearest station is Naples for those who will keep the principle of not letting it go

It's a lovely, v large property on a gorgeous part of the beach on Marco. We went first week in Jan which is peak, thus some of the highest rates of the year. If one wants winter sunshine on the East Coast at a beautiful resort then it comes with a price, but personally I don't think it's good value for money. Other reviews consistently highlight many of the good things, so I'll just highlight my niggles: - the sun sets just before 6. All loungers are cleared away from the beach at 6, even if you want to stay a bit longer. No exceptions. For $1,000 a night, I don't think it's unreasonable to be able to keep my lounger until 6:15 or 6:30 while I finish my drink and my children finish their sand castle. - Loungers on the beach are tired, battered, not v comfortable things. Loungers by the pool are much better. - Service is a bit hit and miss - e.g. the pool areas were often covered in vacated loungers with rubbish and used towels left behind, check in took a long time etc. - This hotel uses so much disposable plastic which is v disappointing. - The hotel is enormous, which has it's benefits when it comes to amenities - e.g. two large, fantastic pool areas with one catering to families and young children - but there is nothing personal about it. No one remembers your name or how you take your coffee - it would be impossible for them to with so many guests. Going back to my room felt like walking through a Vegas hotel convention centre. This isn't a negative; it's just not what we prefer. -requiring reservations for front row loungers by the room is daft In short, we had a wonderful holiday at this lovely resort - our young children LOVED the pool area - but for the price and hype, I expect a bit more.

This was our first trip to Marco Island. The JW property is not quite as new as a couple of the other Marriotts further down the beach but is no less great. we had a very nice room, not quite as many of the modern guest amenities, but still a great room. Would return.

This was our 5th year Marriott. We choose to return to the JW because it is a great place for families and we love the amenities. While we had a great time, it is clear they are very understaffed. We checked in very late due to a flight delay and there was not one person to be found to help us. We had to set an alarm every morning for 7 am to get in line for beach chairs. We waited for 45 min-60 min in line almost every day. Maybe this was due to holiday week, but we have gone the same week ( 12/27 -1/3) for years and never had to set an alarm for beach or pool chairs till this year. The menus at Quinns and Pazzos were limited and the ice cream store is gone. The rooms felt dated and dirty. For the price of hotel rooms, I would have expected more. We will likely not return next year. On a positive note, the beach and location are amazing. It is just very obvious how the pandemic has affected the quality of this hotel.

It were a busy holiday when we checked in but it did not take too long for checking in. The front desk was very nice and knowledgable. From the customer service, facilities, great selection of buffet breakfast, great food to spacious clean comfortable room are exatcly what we were expected from the upscale resort. We loved it when we can order the food and drinks from the quinn guy that came over the beach, so we can enjoy the beach while eating and drinking. We were having fun watching the fire demonstration during sunset in the front of quinn every evening. This is a plus. We will recommend this place to our friends and relatives. We will come back again.

I can NOT wait to sit in the new professional hair stylist, Gina's , chair and see the magic she will perform on my hair. Heard lots of great things about her and how talented she is!
