I recently went to this location on 7/17 to get an installment loan: Transaction #964415; the young lady who assisted me was not polite and was very condescending when assisting me. I have gotten an installment loan before; I knew the procedure and never had a problem until now because of the way she treated me. She asked me when my next payday was, and I tried to explain to her that I set up direct deposits a certain way so a portion of my paycheck would be available earlier than my actual pay date, but she looked annoyed and stated that the supposed system showed a specific date, and that's the date I would have to use, which I understood and accepted, but she was rude in how she said that, as if I was trying to lie or something. Then, drawing near the end of the transaction, as she counted out the money as the clerks normally would do, when finished, she flung my ID card down in the window slot and then proceeded to fling the money down the window slot as well. I didn't say anything but thank you and left, but this interaction bothered me so much that I had to leave a review because that treatment is unacceptable. As a Jamaican woman, knowing that she too was Jamaican or from the Caribbean made me ashamed because you shouldn't treat anyone like they're below you no matter their circumstances. If I were a different person, and being a Jamaican woman, I could've acted ignorant and caused a scene, but I didn't, and I left very disappointed in the treatment I received. I just wanted to express this experience because it was disgraceful, and Amscot should remind their employees that without their customers there would be no jobs for them and that customer service principles should always be a priority to uphold.

Never had a bad experience until today tried to pay back a loan and the worker sherry was extremely rude. One of the bills had a small tear and she told us with an attitude that she couldn’t give this to other customers so she couldn’t take it, I said we had just gotten it from the bank and she said “well go take it back” then tried to keep the rest of my money while only giving me back the $20 as if I was supposed to go to the bank and come back.

I went to amscot to cash my two checks because my bank was closed and ASIA was very rude from the start. She seemed like she didn't want to be bothered and didnt say anything to me. She gave me a form to fill out, to put all my information ( social security number, address, phone number, occupation, etc...) when i asked Asia why I have to fill this out she said its mandatory. I told her I been here before and I dont understand why ur asking for all my information especially when Im giving her my ID. She said that I must be confused with another place and that I must tell her where I work. While talking to her I called her sweetheart and she got really nasty with me telling her dont call her that and that if I want to cash my check I dont even need to talk to her. She is very very nasty! Don't go here!

Wasted my time. Only told me that they couldn’t help me After forced me to give them my social security information, birth date, address and employment info, big long questionnaire about purpose and reasons for the money order I was trying to buy. I have never been requested to share so much personal information just to purchase a money order and being denied AFTER they kept all my important information. I really hope they keep my personal information safe, because while I was there, she opened another customer’s profile by mistake and was comparing our social security numbers.
For Money Orders I will never come back to any Amscot location.
