UFAR animals rescue is an amazing place to adopt an animal. It was an easy process and Debbie was really thorough making sure the dog was a good fit for me. Please adopt, they need us! The foster mom was amazing as well. This is my sweet Livvy?? Thank you UFAR for all you do!

Great rescue that tries to help out as much as they can. The team is very supportive, and always responds to any inquiries promptly. Shelter is in dire need of more fosters and adopters so great place to consider if you are looking.

I was a foster family for Rosie and fall in love with her so i adopted her. You can’t imagine the love that the people at the shelter give to theses animals that are in kernel all day long. They always need help for fostering (which is the most grateful experience) or to pet , so don’t be affraid to give time or to go for a visit to see all these animals that waiting for tour love!!!!And gess what ?? They don’t kill tjese animals, they keep them until they are adopted. SO PLEASE GO FOR ADOPTION OR DONATE FOR FOOD OR OTHER NEEDS

Ufar is an excellent place to adopt your fur baby. They are very thorough in their adoptions. We had a face time call to view our home, which did not happen at the humane society. They really take into account the best for their babies. Thank you for allowing me to adopt the new love in my life.

Our Nahla was feeling lonely and we decided to adopt a friend to play with her. Debra contacted us fast and made the process very smoothly. The interview was “no joke”…this organization is very professional and serious. After a few days we found Nina, a very fancy cat dressed up in a tuxedo, since she knew it soon she would join her forever family lol. Both cats are getting along very well!! We highly recommend this Adoption Center!!

READ THIS BEFORE GOING!If you are really going to adopt a cat from there, read this carefully. The cat will never feel like it’s your own legally. They will do checkups on it monthly and are allowed to show up at your door step to do so. They also require you to post a picture of it on Instagram and tag the location, that is weird! They also have every right to take it away from you if the cat feels sad or is in any distress. Imagine the cat getting sick and it’s sad due to that, they will take it away. There is no guarantee that the cat you adopt isn’t sick because apparently they’re not responsible for it. There is a reason you see a vast amount of cats there. It’s because the application process is ridiculous, the price, and what you’re agreeing to in the end. It’s difficult to get approved as they make it so impossible and difficult. Please be careful and don’t go here if you want your OWN cat. Remember, ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINTS AND DO YOUR RESEARCH. Don’t overlook the bad reviews. My experience:I was hesitant about this place while arriving. Someone was arguing with the staff member for being racist. That then made sense once I was at the store, she was very rude telling people to move over. Then I found my ideal cat. Another staff member seemed to be very nice, trying to convince me to adopt the cat. She kept saying it needed a home and to rescue him. I was ready to adopt him with a $300 fee. Then a form said the price could go up to $600 so I was confused. They just don’t give out any specific information so everything is misleading. As I asked questions about the cat, the answers were very vague. An example is asking what their story is and replying with “all cats have sad stories.” Then she made it sound like I could take the cat home as soon as I adopted it. Turns out, I had to fill out a long tedious application; which I was fine with. After that, they may or may not call you depending on your answers. I got a FaceTime interview. They ask you to show them your whole house. It felt like an invasion of privacy while the lady was giving attitude. As teenage slang “like a Karen.”Ultimately, you’re being judged based on appearance and what your home looks like. It’s based on their standards and is overall biased. This honestly was heartbreaking because I had formed an attachment to the cat I wanted. I genuinely had great intentions, they overlook the love you have to care for a cat. So I couldn’t rescue the cat, not a lot of people can rescue any of them because this organization doesn’t let them. Hence, that is why they have SO MANY cats. What good is it for someone to have a huge house, have their application accepted, turning out with a terrible caretaker. It’s people that have a very high income in their significance of standards with a bigger probability to be accepted. If your application isn’t accepted, take it as a blessing. At any moment, it can be taken from you. It would’ve been very heart breaking.

I have mixed feelings about my experience at this cat adoption shelter. Initially, we were excited about the possibility of giving a needy kitten a home. However, the reality of the adoption process was overwhelming and disheartening. After expressing our interest in adopting, we were called in for an evaluation. What we thought would be a simple conversation turned into a complete invasion of our privacy. We were asked to show every room in our house, and we felt uncomfortable being judged mainly on physical space rather than the love and care we could provide for the cat.To make matters worse, after going through this invasive process, we were rejected as adopters. It was disappointing to discover that, despite our good intentions and genuine desire to provide love and care for a cat, our home did not meet their space standards.I understand the importance of ensuring a suitable environment for animals, but I wonder if this strict approach contributes to the high population of cats in the shelter. Perhaps simplifying the process could allow more people, who are willing to provide a loving home but do not meet certain space standards, the opportunity to adopt. This way, they could help reduce the overcrowding of cats in the shelter.I deeply regret that the cat we hoped to give a home to cannot benefit from the love and best care it could have received. I believe that by focusing more on physical space than on the love and emotional commitment of potential adopters, this shelter may be missing out on opportunities to find loving homes for its needy animals. I hope they will consider revising their approach to make the process more balanced and welcoming for future adopters.

With their help, we were able to find an energetic kitten to add to our home. The pre-adoption interview was detailed and I felt comfortable this was a place that wanted a fur-ever home for their pets. Debra was great and walked us through the whole process and when we arrived for the appointment, several staff greeted us at the door. They were quick and prompt at helping us find a great fit for our family. We picked an adorable tabby who is just the light of our lives! She's a ball of energy that we love so much! We really appreciated that she was caught up on her shots, was spayed, dewormed, and microchipped!
