Our storage was broken into over the weekend, but didn't receive a call from storage management until Tuesday afternoon. Upon questioning management we were told they hadn't called the police to report it, it was up to us to report it. Our unit was jam packed and when we opened it, everything was ransacked and broken, and as a side note full of rat poop and so much stuff had been eaten by rats that what wasn't broken had to be disposed of. The staff had no concern. There were no cameras, but we were informed they're doing construction of more units and Management stated " we're in the process of putting in more lighting". Put that money into making sure your current customers are protected. So I'm left having to climb into a hot metal box during summer to sort thru what's salvageable. Let me reiterate they knew this happened on Saturday, didn't us call until Tuesday AND didn't report it to the cops. I wouldn't recommend -Taking your Money is their only concern.

I was associated with this company for only three months but during that period they were very professional and courteous.

Rented from both the original owner (Charlie Brown) and the previous local owner/manager. No word from them when the transfer occurred. Received a form letter from SunCo that they were taking over. SunCo does not have a local office and does all business online through their portal. The new lease agreement with them? Online only. Bill pay? Over the phone or online. If you do not like doing business with a faceless nameless entity, be warned.Additionally, under the previous ownership, rent was at a reasonable rate which people on fixed incomes could afford (ex: $45/mo for a 6x12). Under the new management, this same unit is now approx $90/mo which is driving out a number of people on fixed incomes who will have to try and find some place to put their belongings.Note, that while this feels exploitative (this is my personal opinion), the prices have been increased to "fair market value", at the cost and detriment of numerous folks who are unable to take the higher price due to their fixed and limited income.May you live in interesting times.**ADDENDUM**I am adding this in response to the SunCo Storage Owner response:I personally received a single letter from SunCo. Unmarked envelope which has a 'Sent From' sticker addressed (partially cut off) for SunCo Storage PO Box 13027, Tampa, Fl 33681, a 'Sent To' sticker with my name and address, and a Tampa Florida postmark. There is no other information on the envelope which could possibly denote this as being related to the old Charlie Brown storage. I thought it was random junk mail and almost trashed it, since it was sent on the same day the normal junk mail arrived. I personally did not receive a single phone call, text message, or email from SunCo Storage. The two phone calls I have had with this company were initiated by myself; first to confirm the legitimacy of the new ownership, and then to call and inform them that I would not be doing any business with them.Additionally, I have also spoken with four other prior renters. Two of them informed me that the only way they knew about the new ownership was due to someone else showing them the letter they received. The other two confirmed having only received a single letter. To the other points: I do appreciate the confirmation that SunCo Storage is not and likely will not have an on-site manager. I also appreciate the confirmation that all leasing is done online only.My personal opinion is that this is not for the "convenience factor" of the customers, so much as it is for the convenience factor of the bottom line of the corporations profit margin.

Rats! Storage unit is full of rat feces and other signs of rodents! Unacceptable! Unwilling to pay for cleaning of the belongings or any solving of the issue. Lock broken also so I probably have things stolen from me. Unprofessional!
