Piggly Wiggly offers a unique shopping experience with a strong focus on community and quality. Many customers appreciate the extensive Hispanic food section, which provides comfort food options not easily found in other stores. Shoppers often find the store well-stocked with a variety of unusual items, like real sugar Mexican Coca-Cola. The prices are generally considered good, with some noting that items like eggs are cheaper compared to larger retailers like Walmart. While the store is praised for its quality produce and meat, some customers have mentioned that the produce can occasionally be old or spoiled, advising others to check before purchasing. However, Piggly Wiggly is known for its friendly employees and willingness to accommodate reasonable returns. The store's hometown feel and commitment to supporting local public schools contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Piggly Wiggly is favored for its fair prices, quality products, and a shopping experience that prioritizes customer service over self-checkout convenience. Many shoppers prefer it to larger chains, enjoying both the nostalgia and the value it offers.
